One good thing about President Obamas re-election: It seems to have prompted some sober thinking by Republican Party leaders and allies. Oh sure, theres been some loose talk of secession, but mostly what youve found is top GOP leaders trying to figure out how to broaden the GOPs appeal and shed its reputation for anti-intellectualism while staying true to their conservative values. This is a good thing.
One sure way for Republicans to blow it: If Sarah Palin runs for president.
You mightve thought Palins political career pretty much ended when she decided not to run for president against a week GOP primary field in 2012. Her supporters were certainly eager to see her run, and the other candidates were clearly terrified that shed jump in. But she stayed out, made frequent appearances on Fox News, and that seemed that.
Until Sunday, that is, when conservative writer Charlotte Allen took to the pages of the Los Angeles Times and urged Palin to run in 2016.
Why? Well, because unlike boring old Mitt Romney, apparently, Sarah Palin wont try to appeal to voters on the basis of issues. Shes a good old-fashioned demagogue. Shell appeal to their hearts, and their penises...

I (sadly) agree with you, but only to an extent. There's also the possibility that the red states could simply separate from the blue states, which is a purely political move that could accomplish much of what we want, without bloodshed.
This is the 21st century, not the 19th. There wouldn't be a bloody war to hold us captive to a political union we no longer wish to be part of. We red staters could separate from the blue statists without a significant level of violence, if enough of our citizens demand it.
In time, the blue states would come begging to be "re-admitted" to the real power base of the old union, and we would have the moral, ethical, and financial upper hand to set the terms of reunification.
Pray you and yours have a blessed Thanksgiving.
Same to you and yours, Nan. Put on some good music and hug those you love. That's what's real, and it's all that really matters.
We'll get through this, as long as we stay true to those things that are most important to us. Truth always wins in the end.
Damn 'straight'.
You have no idea how welcome you'd be :-)
Hee hee...!
Uh-huh.....I thought so .. LOL
Makes you want to spit nails, doesn't it? Damn, I want my America back!
In the Apocalypse, we must all make allowances. And even though I’d prefer a 1987 model Tawney Kitaen (NOT the new version), I could settle for the security system in your pic.
I’m man enough to admit it...
Yet again, you open the mind to things we must all ponder on the road to returning to The Promise of The Founders. Truly, you have earned the title of Chief Druid.
Personally, I think that any hardship I and my family will endure, will be more than offset by the demise of every enemy to The Founders' ideals, along the way.
Actually Sarah would STILL be more qualified than Obama, even after his second term, since he’s done so little as President, and what he HAS done has been a disaster!
The one thing ‘our’ side (those not conservatives in disguise) can, does, and will continue to have all over the left is our WILLINGNESS to eat the crap we will have to. Because in the end, we win. Biblically, economically et all.
The left cannot hold the opposing coalitions together indefinitely and their policies guarantee a total breakdown.
Conservative ideals ensure survival. Simple logic.
by the way....has Rubio said anything in support of West?
Not surprised.
Why is it Liberals think with their genitals and assumes everyone else does so as well?
Too true, but there's only so much crap our side will eat, until we've finally had our fill of the Communist/traitor swill. I'm sensing that we're nearly ready to vomit it all back into their faces.
Listen, I've got young children who cried the night Obama was declared the 'winner' of the last election. Even they understand how large a threat that man is to our continued survival as a nation. Heck, my wife was nearly inconsolable about the outcome, and still isn't quite 'right'.
I ask you, how do you think that makes me feel? I don't think I can say it without my comment being deleted by the mods.
Good question. I haven't heard a damn thing.
That might be the problem FRiend. What would we do with the ones who didn't want it? Rhetorical question.
Hey, maybe you could build a couple of bunk houses for those of us who wish to escape the democRATs. Charge rent.
Oh, that makes me cry too. I know just how your wife feels. the night of the election I felt so sick at my stomach it was like a member of my family had died. It felt like the death of our beloved country. The helplessness was sickening. Hugs your wife and kids for me. God bless you all. We will hang together or seperately.
Enthusiastic, heartfelt bump.
Now that is a photo.
While I generally agree, I don’t think nearly enough people have felt true pain yet. The majority will keep making excuses for the reality we live in and keep supporting the very people who cave in to the Lib crap.
It’s all they know how to do. So they do it.
But one by one they will get to where we are now. It’s inevitable. The people who fear for their businesses will lose them. Jobs, them. Homes, them. Families will self destruct under the strain. Suicides. All of it.
Because that’s what they do. Act re-actively when it’s too late. Our job is to retain the solid foundation for them to rebuild their lives and our country on.
That might be the problem FRiend. What would we do with the ones who didn't want it?
Secede from them, and party like it's 1776.
