I think we should remember that black men got the right to vote some years before women as a whole. Kinds puts competing claims about oppression in a different light.

In reality, this had nothing to do with Oprah.

Let’s see. In one article, Hillary gets pushed up, Obama gets shoved down, Ellen degenerate gets a sort of an OK because she didn’t try to convince people she was straight and some nice words about Ronnie.

Off the top of my head?

The new talking points are out. Time to cut the floor out of the Bamster. Look for a lot of people saying nice things about Hillary and not so nice things about Obama.

He’s being sent to the showers, but he doesn’t know it yet.

It was the day Oprah announced she was backing the African-American candidate, then-senator Barack Obama, over the highly qualified and experienced woman candidate, then-senator Hillary Clinton.

I know the author is trying to make a point but isn’t this stretching the truth a bit. What was Hillary experienced at doing other than screaming at the White House staff. Granted she was more experienced than Obama but so was the mayor of West Mifflin, Pennsylvania.

If a national figure like Oprah can be brought down by her misjudgement, why can’t Obama? Oprah’s experience may turn out to be Obama’s canary in the mineshaft.

The question isn't why Oprah fell, but why she was popular in the first place.

Can we dare to hope this is an early sign of the “waking up” of America?

Her backing that POS in the White House was a given. On the other hand, maybe folks actually listened to her show and found out it just sucked or they just got tired of it.

The article keeps saying that we are confused by Nobama'a and Orka's double speak.

There is no confusion.

Nobama and his minions are LIARS!

I think Oprah’s appeal was her ability to transcend the bluntness of race. She talked about more topics that connected with her largely female audience. She connected with their everyday problems.

She threw all this in the trash when she endorsed this faker over a woman, albeit tarnished by liberalism, still had more widespread appeal for women than did Hussein.

In effect, she traded her power to connect with the common woman for a race card, plain and simple.

We shouldn’t forget Okra’s treatment of Palin either. Moochelle and Barrick were given all the air time they wanted while Sarah wasn’t allowed one second on her show.

very rarely do I read a complete post, usually just peruse to get the jist of the article, but this was GREAT. I read every word and totally agree. I never was an Oprah worshipper but usually enjoyed segments of her show if I walked by the tv when it was on, when she went new Age and obamanic I said NO MORE if any magazine has her picture or her name related to any article it won’t come into my house and when she denied the viewers of Sarah Palin to come on her show before the election I was sharing with my friends she was a racist bigot and a new ager and spreading the word as fast as I could, many didn’t know but they do now!
Goodbye Oprah and Obama!

I cannot believe that women all over this country are not up in arms over Oprah’s backing of Obama. For the first time in history we actually have a shot at putting a woman in the white house and Oprah backs the black MAN. She’s choosing her race over her gender — hypocrisy at it’s finest!!

I find it appalling that almost all liberals see the voting decision exactly as presented - do you vote based on genitals or based on skin color. The idea of judging a candidate based on accomplishments, character, values, and positions on the issues doesn't even cross their minds. Politics is tribal - it's about voting group identity to shallow voters. So long as their group identity twin has the (D) after their name, they don't even consider political positions, and they never care about character except as a weapon to use against those with an (R) after their name.

Many conservatives are just the opposite. We were happy to support Cain, Jindal, and West, not because they are non-white but because they are capable leaders who believe in limited government. We were comfortable with Bachmann as our nominee because of her positions on the issues, not because of her sex. We were thrilled with Governor Sarah Palin because of her accomplishments. And we would have been happy to go with Perry, Santorum, or DeMint, but completely indifferent to the fact that they were white men. The way we choose among these options is not with an identify group checklist but by evaluating political positions, accomplishments, and character, and weighing the relative importance of each factor.

If the endorsement choices are Hillary v. Barack - who cares? She could have chosen Hillary and had angry viewers declare that she had “chosen her female identity over her black one”. We should leave such nonsense to the lefties to fight over (as they certainly will).
