Former U.S. Rep Pete Hoekstra will trot out Herman Cain, who bowed out of a bid for the Republican presidential nomination, around Michigan next week to drum up support, his campaign said today.
Cain will appear in Grand Rapids, Kalamazoo, Ypsilanti and Troy on a blitz across the state as they tout the Holland Republicans Tea Party ties and taking incumbent Democrat Debbie Stabenow to task for her spending policies.
Cain suspended his quest for the presidency in December amid rumors of marital infidelity.
The Tea Party conservatives have been increasingly supporting Pete Hoekstra over the years as a result of his staunch fiscal policies in Congress, Cain said in a statement released by the campaign and speaking of Hoekstras nine terms as a House Representative.

That silly ad will be yesterday’s news in a few weeks and it may have increased his name I.D. The people most offended by it were for Debbie Stabenow anyway.
I’ll probably vote for Hoekstra not so much because I like him but because he’s a far cry better than Stupidcow and I think he has the best chance to beat her..
The ad that annoys me is the one where he basically calls himself a superhero. I wince every time I see that one.
Hope it works out better for Pete than it did for Newt
BTW The actress in the ad now says she’s sorry for making the ad. I’m guessing she isn’t sorry she got paid.
The ad was a mistake, but I don’t think it’ll be a fatal one.
So Herman strayed! B_D! Lot's of men AND women do!
What matters is forgiveness.
Are you willing to give it, to receive it?
I'd STILL vote for Herman TODAY over any other wannabe illuminati finger puppet!
It was a stupid ad that frankly reminded me of Full Metal Jacket. I’m voting for Peter Konetchy anyway in the primary, not because of the ad of Hoekstra, but because Konetchy is a real good guy. It’s a vote for, not a vote against. In the general, I’ll vote for Stabenow’s opponent, whoever it happens to be.
Stupid tart, the democrats probably paid her to say that. Or else her agent told her to for fear it could hurt her career if she didn’t. Either way I doubt her own feelings about the matter (if she even has any) factored in to her decision to apologize.
This ad and controversy gave her attention therefore it’s the best thing to ever happen to her.
Anyway, the latest poll, from PPD, a rat firm but a reputable one, was not good, 51-37. But it was taken in the wake of the ad and it’s probably of “registered voters” and not the more accurate likely voters. (it doesn’t say).
I remain hopeful about this race.
Thought this posting was about Cain comming in and supporting Hoekstra.. Not about some ad probably driven by MSM complaints..few know anything about but elicits FR supporting and divisive comments against it... but not menioned in your excerpt.....GIVE MSM CRITIQUE NO QUARTER
