A group called State Tea Party Express paid for the ad below, which has been running on FOX, linking Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker (R) and Texas Gov. Rick Perry (R), who's running for president. Walker was embroiled in a budget controversy over state-workers collective-bargaining rights -- and saw a standoff in which all of the states Democratic senators fled Wisconsin.

But he did much more than sign the amnesty bill. In 1980 he called for OPEN BORDERS! He flip-flopped. Its allowed...as long as he flops my way (Ann Coulter).
Posters on this thread are now trashing the Tea Party Express because the Tea Party Express points out the success of Rick Perry in promoting an environment for job creation. Imagine that!
That’s what it’s come to.
CW, The video ad was done by the State Tea Party Express Organization, correct? It is the State Tea Party Express comparing the two, Perry and Walker???
If that is correct, then the posters here must not understand the difference between the Perry campaign, MSNBC, and the State Tea Party Express.
Not sure if that needs to be clarified. Perhaps my post will help clear their confusion.
Now you have pissed me off CW. Rick Perry is no Scott Wallker.
This is who did that ad:
State Tea Party Express, a newly created 501c4 non-profit group that comes from the makers of the Tea Party Express, is about to launch a nationwide ad blitz with the following TV ad.
They are a part of the Tea Party Express.
And this is the group comparing Rick Perry to Scott Walker in the linked ad.

Walker and Perry have much in common. And they’ve made their states friendly for business, with results to prove it.
Dems in both their states fled to avoid facing reality of their GOP strength.
Both men have a strong faith to sustain them.
I didn’t write the headline. But MSNBC did and they did it to take a swipe at them both. But it doesn’t matter because it’s a correct headline.
I’m from Wisconsin and now am a long time Texan (after a long time in AZ) and I couldn’t be prouder than I am of these two governors.
No different than the Slick Willard ‘nuts and sluts’ trash of 4 years ago. Crazy, deranged types (mostly old women) whose interest in Willard ran more towards satisfying ribald personal fantasies of wanting him “in charge”, the same kind of delusional stuff we’ve seen from Bubba Clinton and Zero sycophants. The lower Perry goes in the polls, the more desperate and deranged they become.
But Ricardo Perry hasn’t “flip-flopped,” he still thinks in-state tuition for illegal aliens is the best idea since sliced bread. President Reagan regretted both the California abortion bill and Ted Kennedy’s amnesty.
No, not really. Where are you getting your information?
The unions hate Scott Walker.
Democratic effort to recall Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker over union rights law to start Nov. 15
An effort to recall Republican Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker over his contentious union rights law will begin Nov. 15, Democrats announced Monday, meaning an election could be held as early as next spring.
Walker has become a national hero to many Republicans and conservatives and is a hot ticket on the fundraising and speaking circuit. But he is the top target for unions and Democrats as he became the face of the anti-union movement this year with his proposal that took away nearly all collective bargaining rights from most public workers
Hi Jean S.
If you don’t like the comparison made in the video make your case.
I read a lot of snots on this thread and not much more.
Jean, see post #26. It explains what’s behind CW’s post.
I went to their website and read every page. I’m well aware of the TPX, AND their connection to folks here at FR as well. What upsets me about this is that there are a lot of differences between Perry and Walker on many issues.
As I said, an ad that criticized the policies of Obama is one thing (issues based), this ad is different as it equates Perry and Walker as being “the same”. Whether that was the intention or not, seeing as Perry is running for the GOP nomination I really don’t think it was a wise choice for them to include Walker.
I don’t disagree with the STPX’s stated goals, but what does bother me is not knowing who the people behind this organization are. There is not one word on their website that would indicate who is running the group - but they are definitely asking for donations... The timing of this ad leads me to believe that they are supporting Perry in particular. IF Perry fails in his nomination bid, will this not perhaps make things harder for Walker as people will equate the two? (I’m not talking about Conservatives who actually CARE, and do their homework, I’m talking about our opponents in general...).
This PERSONALLY rubs me the wrong way because I’m totally behind Walker, and I’m definitely NOT a fan of Perry in the least. So yeah, this to ME is a really bad ad, and the fact that MSNBC is promoting it, and people here are promoting the networks’ coverage of this ad - instead of perhaps linking directly to the STPX website strikes me as odd as well. As others pointed out, MSNBC picking up on this ad is NOT a “good thing”.
ALL of the above is IMHO...
And so does the MSM and the Left. I had a hell of a time finding a photo of Gov. Walker that wasn't a clown face or a "dumb" expression (similar to how the MSM has posted pics of Gov. Perry).
I posted multiple threads on Walker and the siege on the Wisconsin state capital.
Thanks.
No, you make your case. I have some friends who I worked with during the Walker campaign and I will sent that link to them. I am certain that they didn't authorize the use of Governor Walker's photo on that site.
NO, it’s NOT a “correct headline”.
The similarities you listed between the two - only one of them is an actual issue based comparison, and even then how they arrived at the successes and the individual problems in their respective states aren’t the same at all either...
You may like both Walker and Perry, but to assume that everyone else is going to see it your way is presumptuous.
Also, when you’re calling folks who don’t agree with you as “snots”, do you REALLY expect others to respect YOUR opinions? I’m guessing you don’t, or else no-one ever taught you that you get more flies with honey than vinegar. There is no need for that kind of jab at people who, although they don’t support Perry, probably agree with you on MANY issues of import.
Ya I remind our county judge of it all the time.
He was one of the Oklahoma 10
