I cannot see them allowing Obama to stay, when they have as much on the guy as they do, considering the disaster they are facing if he stays.
If Obama decided not to run, the only way another Dem could win would be to renounce Obama’s policies and run to the right of the Republican candidate, which ain’t going to happen.

I’ve thought of this before also. The old “bait and switch”. Get all the republicans to run against Obambi, then at the last minute, switch candidates and throw Hitlery in the race instead. He recently appeared locally to read his teleprompters to the University of Richmond students. The local news showed the vast majority of those present to be the so called youth vote. He still has a lock on the black vote and college kids. The only thing to stop him from running would be impeachment and that would cause riots in the black community beyond comprehension.

As for HRC, she is the same conniving leftist she always has been, only her stint at SoS has shown her to be incompetent as well. Please name ANY accomplishment at State during her tenure. There aren't any. Another “reset button” will not help the Rats win in 2012. At best, she would be only marginally more competent than Obama, while increasing the criminality in the White House significantly.
Too, I think Independents have had a bellyful of economic mismanagement by the Rats. Exchanging Obama for HRC solves nothing if Reid/Pelosi control Congress. I seriously doubt Indies will vote to restore their power. A vote for HRC would be a vote for more Reid/Pelosi - not gonna happen.
