Ohio Republicans pick Romney in straw poll
The Columbus Dispatch ^ | 22 July 2011 | Joe Vardon

Ohio Republican Party donors and other attendees at the state GOP's dinner tonight picked former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney in a straw poll to take on President Barack Obama in 2012. Romney finished comfortably ahead of the Republican field, picking up 25 percent of the vote. When state party chairman Kevin DeWine announced Romney as the winner, a few people in the audience booed. Former Minnesota Gov. Tim Pawlenty (16 percent) finished second, followed by U.S. Rep. Michele Bachmann (15 percent).

All I know is that we tend to let RINOs get away with things we’d never accept from the democrats.

At this point I don’t even trust RINOs with supreme court picks.

Speaking of all things Bachmann, here`s something to cheer you with.....

Even Roger Ebert concedes that almost 200 people saw The Undefeated at noon today in Chicago on short notice with no advertising. So more people went to an event that Governor Palin did not attend in one of the most liberal cities in America than the number of people who went to an event this afternoon in Iowa with Michele Bachmann in attendance.

LOVE IT!!!!!!!!

Sure, we’ve thought of that. What makes you think anybody a Romney would nominate would be any better than an Obama nominee?

I took the older kid to see The Undefeated in Orange, CA this afternoon and we both enjoyed it. She wasn’t a Palin fan prior to today and now has plenty of respect for her and plenty of contempt for the low-lifes that have slandered her for the past few years. It was a good outing.

And a personal message to the GOP power brokers: If you shove Romney down our throats I’ll write in Palin’s name for every office on the ballot in 2012 and then quit voting altogether for any subsequent elections. Your RINO establishment people suck ass and will NEVER get my vote again. McLame was the last straw. It’s a true conservative or nothing, you hear???

I found a pretty decent picture of the perfect generic GOP establishment candidate to share with y'all.

You can straw poll that or you can choose a conservative, but you can't have both.

Interesting thought. If more tea-party type congressmen were to be elected to the House in 2012, and the Senate went republican with a solid majority, would conservative interests be better served with Obama still in office or a republican like Romney?

If Romney is foisted upon us, it will be time for the Tea Party to consolidate and field a presidential candidate in 2012.

This Romney victory isn’t caused by any love for Romney but rather an irrational fear of Obama.

Operating from a position of fear is absolutely the wrong way to select a nominee.

Ditto - but then I saw they were “Republican Party donors” and it was held in Cleveland - so that means they are establishment RINO types I don’t know any of them that I’m aware of so it kinda makes sense.
