The bus tour has come and gone. Now, so has the movie premiere.
A flattering documentary (from the looks of these clips, it appears more like an infomercial) about Sarah Palin, the former Alaskan governor and one-time vice presidential nominee, had its first showing in the tiny town of Pella, Iowa on Tuesday. But despite plenty of speculation that it could serve as a galvanizing prelude to Palin's prospective presidential campaign, the event went off with little fanfare. Palin attended a post-premiere barbeque and had lunch at a Panera Bread restaurant with a GOP fundraiser, where politics reportedly wasnt on the table.
Her apparent indecision whether to run or not, reports Politico, is starting to frustrate early state political players who are just ready for an answer already. (Palin told reporters Tuesday that shes still contemplating the answer to such a life-changing, relatively earth-shattering type of decision; her daughter Bristol, meanwhile, told Fox News the same day her mothers mind was made up.) But such perennial fence-sitting could do a lot worse than frustrate political operatives. Palins keep-them-guessing approach is in danger from turning what was a smart, masterful strategy for publicity into a liability of indecisiveness.
I get that playing the suspense card is good for media attention, keeping your name in the news until the last moment possible. I get that floating trial balloons is necessary to know what kind of funding, contributions and campaign infrastructure youll be able to attract. And I understand that running for president is an earth-shattering decision thats not to be taken lightly.
But neither are the decisions to go to war with Libya, pull the trigger on a secret operation to kill Osama bin Laden, or bail out the auto industry....

Where did you get such nonsense? Not from any Alaska law.
The actual law (AK 39.52.310) states in sec H that the time limit for any person to file an ethics complaint is two years from the "discovery" of the "alleged" violation.
Two years from the discovery, which could be tomorrow or next week or six months ago or a year from now.
And, a complaint may be filed against any sitting or former official.
IOW...Palin() is on the hook for a very long time. So again, please detail where you got your information.
How many other undeclared candidates have a bbq and get written up by wa-poo? They say the event generated “little fanfare”...then why are they writing about it? Her announcement, should it come will be an earthquake.
I’m detecting high quantities of ugly-girl jealousy in that article. What a maroon.
I love how Sarah gives these liberal asswipes in the MSM conniption fits. Keep it up, Sarah. I want to see their heads start to spin around like in “The Exorcist”.
Palin completely has their number, is playing them for complete fools and they are breaking under the strain of it. I love it. Keep it up, Sarah.
It is going to be fun watching her play them expertly during her campaign run. They think they have all the power and have as all on their strings. She is changing the rules.
Sarah & the MSM remind me of the Germans sweeping end run around the impenetrable French Maginot Line.
My apologies to the historically ignorant people under 25 who have never been taught a thing about history. My analogy is completely lost on you because your government teachers failed to teach you any history beyond the racist white man owning slaves, the racist white man killing indians, the racist white man raping the environment...

You can actually enter too late. What I mean is, Sarah has to run early enough so that the bombardment of anti-Palin MSM articles is old news long before November 2012. If she runs too soon to election day, she risks having all that news be fresh. Not that any of it is accurate, but the Sheeple will swallow whole what is regurgitated from the beaks of the MSM. I do want Palin to have enough time to get the avalanche of anti-Palin articles behind her, and giving her time to address them all and defuse the lies. Then by the time summer 2012 comes around and the race is running in earnest, she can say “been there done that” with all of the MSM lies.
Remember, the GOP establishment will be trashing her as well, so I don’t want her to wait too long to declare.
That said, I think it is ridiculous even discussing elections this far in advance of election day. Anything can and will happen between now and next spring.
Being a declared candidate for US president would probably count as an acceptable reason for not being able to serve on a court jury at home.
They still think it's about what they want. It just hasn't dawned on them that Palin not only doesn't want or need political hacks, she actually detests them. And, with good reason.
They're awfully stupid for a bunch of self-appointed kingmakers. I'd say stupid must be pretty frustrating, if I were to venture a guess.
She's genuine and doesn't need "packaging." Her message is sincere and heartfelt, and it resonates with the voting public, so she doesn't need their positioning statements.
And so they pitch another fit. Ho hum, just one more in a long string of them stretching back to 2008. Somebody call a WAAAmbulance.
She’s perfectly serious. I just came from my facebook page where a lot of Gen Xers are friends. All of them think Jon Stewart is the ultimate authority in news and that Obama has been a great president.
It just made me want to come back over here and tell you all that no matter how many nasty comments I’ve made to you over the years, I love you all dearly and thank God for you.
And I mean that.
