Bill O’Reilly: GOP Race ‘Is Mitt Romney’s To Lose,’ But ‘Nobody’ Is Leading The Party
Mediaite ^ | June 11, 2011 | Frances Martel

This disarray in the Republican Party has reached some dizzying depth, Bill O’Reilly explained last night, as no candidate or public official has taken hold of the party. With several candidates as long shots or complete unknowns, O’Reilly concluded Mitt Romney had the best chance, but no one was going to defeat President Obama without having “a little Trump in them.”

O’Reilly began his program last night with a quick evaluation of each candidate left: “Newt Gingrich is done as a serious candidate,” he explained, why Rep. Michele Bachmann, Herman Cain and Rick Santorum were “long shots.” Sarah Palin could be a game-changer, he predicted, but “nobody knows what the heck she’s going to do.” This left Romney is the strongest position, but even he was severely vulnerable. O’Reilly also took the chance to argue that it really isn’t early in the race. “Summer’s going to fly by,” he noted, leaving not so much time for fundraising.

O’Reilly then welcomed Chris Wallace, who seemed to find O’Reilly’s scenario prematurely dire. “It’s much more competitive than that,” Wallace warned, “you’re overstating the disarray.” Wallace noted that Texas governor Rick Perry could be the frontrunner if he jumps into the race, though O’Reilly argued that there was a serious deficit of name recognition on his part. “You’ve got fiefdoms all over the place,” O’Reilly explained, such that there was no unified leader. He also finally got to the bigger unknown in the race, Minnesota governor Tim Pawlenty, who he said he “liked” but needed “a little Trump in him.” “The guy is invisible, you can’t even see him!” O’Reilly joked. Wallace, who is interviewing Pawlenty on Fox News Sunday this week, thanked O’Reilly for the soundbite and once again downplayed his statements, noting Pawlenty has been trying to become more vocal in his attacks on President Obama.

I’m not sure Palin has to do much fundraising. Who doesn’t know who she is by now? She can Tweet a policy in twenty seconds to millions.

The real point is that Palin can tweet/facebook a request for donations, and become the instant best funded front-runner in history.

Signed, one of 3,000,000 and growing - Palin Facebook friends.

I’m afraid that O’Reilly isn’t exactly wrong this time, but it’s not the Republicans that Romney is leading, or trying to lead. It’s the middle of the roaders, independents, RINOs, etc.

This week Romney announced that he was skipping the Iowa straw poll and another early poll that are both determined by strict conservatives. Then we have Romney’s reaffirmation of his Romneycare and another statement that Romney believes in global warming. Romney has moved to the center, right before our eyes.

Then there have been several articles kind of making fun of conservatives for criticizing Romney’s religion, as if the left didn’t start it and encourage it.

I’m pretty sure that the Republican party in WA state is getting ready to endorse Romney. We aren’t having a primary this next time around and my guess is that the decision has already been made. We had Romney as our keynote speaker at the convention last year.

“Willard the RINO” is to Barack Hussein Obama what the Osmond Brothers were to the Jackson Five.

The GOP race could indeed be Romney’s to lose, I don’t know.
What I do know is that if Romney wins the GOP race the Presidency is lost.

Hopefully we can retain the House and win the Senate. We will need them to counter Obama.

If Perry gets in he’ll get it. My extended family ( 24 of THEM and ALL CONSERVATIVE) are starting to get really excited about him.

Yes he has immigration issues and some others as well but if he jumps in he’ll vault to the top , mark my words.

Personally, I love Sarah.

BOR said Palin has a fiefdom, can raise money, could be a game-changer, but nobody knows what the heck she’s going to do.

She beat the media out and they're livid that she gave them the slip.
They just can't believe that she got away with that.
They can't believe she gave 'em the slip.
They can't believe that she would even try to give 'em the slip. - Rush.
