Amid the chaos, there was Sarah Palin.
Only one advance staffer was on hand to wrangle the fans and reporters hoping to get close to the former vice presidential nominee, who arrived at Sunday’s Rolling Thunder rally on a motorcycle driven by her daughter Willow.
At the first stop on Palin’s bus tour — which, so far, has a vague itinerary and no other formally announced stops — security and press relations were left to a small group of disgruntled bikers.
When asked about the tour, Palin offered only, “This is our first stop; we’re very thankful to be here.”
A map of the tour’s stops on her PAC’s website remains blank.
Palin arrived with Willow on the front of the motorcycle she was driving and her husband, Todd, and oldest daughter, Bristol, on separate bikes. Still, their presence was very small in comparison to the rest of the rally, drawing about 200 people in a swarm around them at an event that drew thousands of veterans....

Having worked security for Palin more than once, I can assure you that no one that isn't supposed to sees all the security that surrounds her. Or even recognizes it. Such as an old gray-beard guy like me swinging a camera lol

No amount of hired security would do one spit of good...and they can certainly police themselves.

And her followers don’t need to be controlled with SWAT teams unlike the crowd that follows O’Hamas! They are reasonable secure people into themselves! If you will remember there were 1.9 MILLION Tea Party supporters in Washington DC, not one of them had to be arrested you stupid goofball! GET A GRIP IN YOURSELF!
You are way off base comparing these veterans and patriots at an event to support the military, to a sixties drug party/concert where they hired the Hell's Angels to serve as security.

I popped up at an unexpected place with my camera (near the exit) to get a good pic of Sarah and as soon as Todd spotted me his hand went inside his jacket.
I’ll never do that again.
But you can bet your bottom dollar the three guys with Sarah in that pic were.
They are a crack security team with decades of experience and regularly train with gov agency types. Which a couple of them were.
I was honored to work security with them, watching over Gov Palin at an event that Mr. Palin did not attend.
