Biggest 2012 Political Shocker Now Would Be Palin Not Running for President
Yahoo! News / Associated Content ^ | May 23, 2011 | Saul Relative

Sarah Palin, the politician that the media loves to cover ad nauseum, will most likely announce her candidacy for president sometime in the near future (some are saying she may wait until September).

Everything seems to be falling her way of late, or at least it appears that way when looking at how things are shaping up within the field of potential candidates in the Republican Party. It is almost as if Fate were stepping in to take a hand in positioning things just right for the former governor of Alaska...

How so? Just take a look at several major events concerning the field of potential GOP candidates that happened within the past two weeks. Former Arkansas governor Mike Huckabee, frontrunner for the nomination in most national polls, announced he would not seek the presidency. Two days later, business mogul Donald Trump, who had been running neck-and-neck with the Republican leaders but was showing signs of faltering due to his affiliation with the birther movement, followed suit. Sandwiched in between those two events was former Speaker of the House Newt Gingrich's seeming verbal hari-kiri -- he labeled Rep. Paul Ryan's House-approved Medicare restructuring plans "radical" and called it "social engineering" -- on NBC's "Meet The Press."

At the same time, former Massachusetts governor Mitt Romney is having difficulty selling his state health care program (one he endorsed and signed into law when he was governor of the state) as different from the much-maligned (within the Republican Party) Health Care Reform implemented by the Obama administration, which is undoubtedly having an effect on Romney's standing in the polls.....

I'm starting to see the hand of Providence in all this, or maybe I need to take more Metformin.

Why would this be a political shocker?

Maybe because they’ve been talking down her chances since September 2008? They will always tell you who they fear.

How exactly did someone who less than two years ago was mired in legal debt, had a family in crises, and was written off politically when she “suddenly” resigned as governor make millions of dollars, write two best-selling books, lead a political movement that helped take back the Congress, produce a hit documentary series, endure an unprecedented media onslaught, and maintain her presidential viability, all while seemingly having her family now in a great place, if she is remotely dumb?

I doubt we will ever get anyone in the news media to answer that question, but if all Americans were nearly as “stupid” as Sarah Palin, we wouldn’t need to worry about who our next president is, or much of anything else for that matter.

Palin and Bachmann should run on a ticket. Their slogan could be, “the men fonged it up enough. Now let the women have a crack at it.”

Sarah Palin has been clear about her plans all along. Only MSM whores and jerkoffs are left guessing. She has said consistently, she would run only if there is no viable strong patriot running already. This bill could well be filled by Herman Cain. If Cain gets traction, Palin will not run. Forget losers like Gingrich, Huckleberry, TPaw, and the rest of the posers.

It is Cain or Palin.

“faltering due to his affiliation with the birther movement”

The only reason he was popular at all was because he was the only one talking about the BC.

Yes, I think things have been working for her, especially the withdrawal of Huckabee and some of the other spoiler candidates.

At the same time, the Establishment Republicans are failing, again and again, to keep their promises on the budget and other matters. So it’s obvious that we can’t afford a Mitt Romney or anyone who will compromise his principles the way Boehner and his friends are doing right now.

She won’t run for the sake of gaining power, but she will run if she thinks her country needs her, and if there is no other comparably reliable candidate appearing on the scene.

That’s where we are now. Much like the early primary scene in 2007-08, with a bunch of lousy RINOs and a couple of conservatives who just didn’t have the name recognition or staying power. Except this time there’s Sarah. She has the guts, the leadership ability, the name recognition, the ability to fire up audiences, the ability to deal with the slimers in the left wing press, and give as good as she gets, the needed courage, and the moral principles not to do the expedient thing instead of the right thing.

Something we have seldom seen, and certainly lacked in the last primary race among the POTUS contenders, and desperately need now as our country races into the sewer.

Cain isn’t famous enough to win, but Bachmann is, barely, and Ron Paul is. Palin is the front runner.

Really? You’re still on that? McCain’s people (Steve Schmidt, et al) have been some of the biggest enemies she has, or is that a conspiracy too?

If the state-run media/Democrat cartel actually believed that Sarah Palin was unelectable, they'd be begging the GOP to nominate her.

ineluctable
