Which is why Governor Sarah Palin should be our candidate, with someone like Allen West at Defense, John Bolton at state, Herman Cain at Commerce, maybe Santorum as Attorney General. VP I don't know yet.

A few questions remain to be answered. Enter Mitch Daniels? Exit Sarah Palin?

Dear Mr. Barone,

How, pray tell, can Sarah Palin exit, when she hasn't yet decided to enter?

Sincerely not yours,

"Can't wait to donate and vote for Sarah Palin"

Gingrich and Romney run against their own party

...and then there was one.

This does make sense.

Romney and Gingrich are the front runners of Establishment RINO

Palin, Paul, Bachmann are the Conservative front runners.

Most of the lesser knowns are Establishment RINO. Cain is with the Conservatives.

Gingrich knows that the Conservative side is filling up with quality, so he’s going where there’s only Romney, and a bunch of people who aren’t famous enough to win in 2012.

The author Michael Barone said: “Some of those things, however, can be done much more cheaply these days through new media.”

Which is why we should not fear Romney’s ten million dollar day and should not think the long shots of today are as long of a shot as they would have been even four years ago, let alone throughout modern history. Romney’s money will not do him that much good. Everybody already knows him and already knows Romney Care. He will simply serve the best food and have the highest paid consultants and maybe the slickest ads.

Normally insurgent campaigns of volunteers kick butt against paid political hacks just collecting a pay check.

No, Michael. Gingrich and Romney demonstrate—yet again—why no one is going to vote for them. Romney will get the East Coast club vote. Gingrich is a shell of his former self and will end his campaign with a pitiful whimper.

Romney too seems out of line with the party he seeks to lead.

Yep.

Palin must run.

Even if she does not win the GOP nomination, and I think she'll win it easily, she must run and put her small government/energy independence/strong national security message on the table.

Otherwise there will be no GOP. It will be as defunct as the Whigs.

Gingrich’s organization called me with a push poll about whether Newt should run. They also wanted me to give the maximum contribution for the primary. I refused to give anything.

Newt blew it on Sunday. He jumped the shark by talking his general election strategy before the primaries even start. His ego wouldn’t let him wait.

One thing I’ve noticed here on Free Republic is that there haven’t been many threads on Newt since “Meet The Press”.

Tells me he was done at the start, thankfully.

I can see Newtie-boy sitting in the back of the room in Boston or Philadelphia complaining that Jefferson, Washington and Adams are “social engineering” from “the radical right” by wanting to declare independence from Britain.

And since Sunday he’s been parsing words like Clinton. LOSER!

NO NEWT!

Some Romney fans are saying he has recovered by raising $10.25 million in a single day this week. It's an impressive fundraising feat.

Does it matter that he did that by tapping into a Democrat source -- the Las Vegas mob?

McCain ran against his own party. That’s why he lost the same election twice.
