For a silly hick snowbilly who doesnt know anything, whom loving and tolerant liberals call a special needs case in honor of the new civility, Sarah Palin is establishing a track record on the issues that is, over the past year or two, without equal.
On Libya, Palin saw that indecision and lack of clear leadership would not do any good. We had to be in it to win it.
So what our president said at first, that our mission is to see Qaddafi go, hes got to go, but then were told by one of his top advisers, the presidents top advisers, saying, well, no, really, Qaddafi is probably going to prevail on this. Hes probably going to prevail over the opposition. And then our president changes the tune again, saying, well, its not our mission to oust Qaddafi. A lot of confusion.
I would like to see, of course, as long as were in it we better be in it to win it. And if theres doubt, we get out. Win it means Qaddafi goes and America gets to get on out of there and let the people of Libya create their own government, choose their own leader. And America, no nation building. We get out. We take care of our affairs elsewhere.
On the Feds quantitative easing, Palin didnt think it would do any good. She has been proven right.
Unemployment is still high. Shakespeare couldnt come up with a better plot. But how in the world did Mrs. Palin, who is supposed to be so thick, manage to figure all this out so far ahead of the New York Times and all the economists it talked to?
She did this back in November in a speech at Phoenix, which the Wall Street Journal, in a laudatory editorial at the time, characterized as zeroing in on the connection between a weak dollar and rising prices for oil and food. We dont want temporary, artificial economic growth brought at the expense of permanently higher inflation which will erode the value of our incomes and our savings, the Journal quoted Mrs. Palin as saying. We want a stable dollar combined with real economic reform. Its the only way we can get our economy back on the right track. Now here is the New York Times quoting a raft of economists who have reached the conclusion that Mrs. Palins warning was right down the line.
Sarah Palin was cautious on Egypt, wanting to know who was likely to take power before the US insisted that Mubarak leave. She has been forceful on China, warning that its military buildup is a threat.
Meanwhile, the cerebral president with the fancy pants creases just keeps getting everything wrong. Everything he touches turns to crap. Even her website is now better than his.
Whodathunkit?
Sarah has wisdom that doesn’t come from an Ivy League school, but, from above.
I’m amazed at how stupid some Americans are when they parrot the liberal talking points and actually believe them. This is sad and makes me ashamed of some who think they’re smart.
No human being gets EVERYTHING right. Sarah Palin is human, not some plaster saint. How about setting realistic expectations instead of fantasy ones. If she is our nominee, the last thing I want is for conservatives to turn on her the first time she does something to disappoint them. Simply because she is human, it’s inevitable that she will.
Please show me in the article where it says she gets “everything” right and that she is a saint.
I go on various message boards and most of the local “conservatives”, i.e. RINO’s think Sarah would be a disaster in a Presidential bid because she is a lightweight intellectually or make innapropriate sexual comments. It’s not heartening to me, but I know Sarah has grit, and common sense. The USA needs common sense, and a sense of spirit and future that she brings anywhere she goes.
I think there is a destiny in front of her that we cannot predict or expect. POTUS? Other? Only time and Sarah Palin will show us.
Rush pointed out today three new books attacking her and her family--the Left will always tell us whom they fear.Obama supports all Islamist risings against sectarian regimes, but did not support Iranian people against the ayatollah and the Holocaust-denier.
Obama continues his destruction of Christian America and her tradition of liberty and leadership.
Obama destroys our economy and recognizes Muslim holidays, but not Easter.
Sarah Palin presents as the authentic three-dimensional conservative:
Social: Life, marriage & family, Christian tradition;
Fiscal: Responsible spending, unrepressive taxation and regulation, free markets;
Defense: Strong military only committed for national interest.
She is the mirror of the agent of the Saudi-Soros-Soviet-Sino enemy.
And thus is continually reviled by the Babylons of the West and East Coasts.
I remember thinking while watching her acceptance speech at the 2008 Republican Convention: ‘How did a normal person get to this level of politics?’ I place Obama, McCain, Biden, Romney, etc., together in at least one subset of the human condition: politician. Palin strikes me as the anti-politician, and me likey that.
Wannabe intellectuals tend to complicate things. really smart people tend to simplify what looks complicated to others.
When you stick to basic principles, things are simple. When you try to find a loophole in basic principles, that is where the complications set in.
Palin does tend to simplify things and stick to basic principles. Reagan did the same and it is not that they are dumb, it is that they are smart enough to stick with what has been proven to work.

Well stated.
gal, don’t ya know it is 1:30 a.m. on the east coast? You woke me up in the middle of the night with a PING?
West Coast late nighters never understand.
Reading only the headline ....eh?
Your statement comes nowhere near what the writer was talking about!
because she is a lightweight intellectuallyz — not so, it is because she can’ be bought, and is not on the take.
You woke me up in the middle of the night with a PING?
What doyou mean? Do you have bell that wakes you up when you are pinged, No I guess you are speaking tongue in cheek
any way i appreciate the pings no matter what time they come
"People who pride themselves on their "complexity" and deride others for being "simplistic" should realize that the truth is often not very complicated. What gets complex is evading the truth."
Still my favorite quote by Dr. Thomas Sowell.
The truth of the matter is that S. Palin is brilliant.
To 4 - Perhaps wolfstar wasn’t referring exclusively to the article. See post 2 as an example. Do you, 2ndDivVet, believe Palin is being divinely guided?
