Coulter: Sarah Palin shouldn’t run for President (Mark Levin endorses Gov. Sarah Palin!!)
Politicons ^ | February 18, 2011 | Henry D'Andrea

Ann Coulter said Sarah Palin shouldn’t run for President, and in recent weeks Coulter has been in huge favor of Gov. Chris Christie running for President. Ann Coulter believes that if Christie doesn’t run for President, Mitt Romney will win the Nomination and lose to Obama.

“I especially love her for her enemies, I’m insanely jealous of that,” Coulter said. “I love her for how she makes liberal heads explode. I think it would be a step down for her to run for president,” Coulter said, adding that she admires Palin. “She’s huge. She has enormous power. She sends out a Twitter on death panels and everyone’s talking about it.”

“I think it would be crazy for her to run for president”

Ann Coulter even received some criticism from Conservative Talk Show host Mark Levin. “When will my dear friend Ann start to address the substantive problems with Christie’s actual positions or are we going to get another year of “only Christie can win” fortune cookie logic,” said Levin.

I completely disagree with Ann Coulter, she’s underestimating Sarah Palin. While I respect and admire Coulter, she’s wrong about Palin. Sarah Palin is the only true candidate that we need for President. Republicans can not nominate another establishment Republican. We need a Tea Party candidate, such as Palin or Bachmann.

“I’m not sure Levin said that. It’s not in quotes. I think the author of this piece said that. But I can’t tell because the link doesn’t work. It’s unclear that Levin endorsed anyone. The only quote that is clearly attributed to him is the one about Ann and Christie.”

I believe you’re correct. I believe in his comments he stated clearly that he is not endorsing anyone.

If you think my nickname has anything to do with Huckabee, you are incorrect. I am not a Huckabee supporter. I'm a fan of Mark Twain.

That said, Palin's resume doesn't come anywhere near Huckabee's.

You are right, that`s exactly what I thought. Am also a fan of Mark Twain. I bet I am not the first here to make that mistake.

Mind you when you say Huck resume trumps Palin, it makes one wonder. And it does not sound like you are her biggest supporter?

You would be in the minority on this board that feels that way, this much I do know.

The thing is to me, looks like they are both running, so people will be going through their records. The MSM will prop up Huck, until he actually won the nomination, then they would drop him like a rock just like they did with McCain.

Could get very nasty in the primary...Huck has some baggage, really never governed as a Conservative, you have pardons, weight gain, it will be nasty...This for sure from outside groups, not the actual candidates.

Regardless, Levin loves Palin. As close to an endorsement as you can get

You're not. I mention it on my profile page, but it's down below some of my other gobbledegook.

Mind you when you say Huck resume trumps Palin, it makes one wonder.

Truth is what it is.

And it does not sound like you are her biggest supporter?

I'm not.

I'm used to being in the minority, on this board and elsewhere---check my tagline. It doesn't bother me at all.

So far, out of those who are most likely running, I like Mitch Daniels the best, which surely means he has no chance.

Most likely, by the time the primaries hit NJ, I won't like any of the remaining choices. If that happens, I'll stay home, and just mindlessly vote the ticket in the general.

Thanks for being civil :) I meant that as a compliment.

So you are voting Palin over Obama straight ticket IF she happens to run/win the nomination, that is good

OK enough out of me

Sarah is my choice for first lady president. She would make a wonderful choice, and definitely more experience governing than Obama

I voted for McCain/Palin. It can’t get any worse than that.

I may disagree w/ Ann, but still love her.

She is correct on that point. Even Sarah said she doesn't "need" a title to help save America and incorporate change (look at what she has accomplished already).

With that being said, I WANT Sarah to run, but that is up to her. Sarah said if no one else steps in, she will.

'Let Christie finish fixing New Jersey, then he can seek the presidency if he wants.'

Holy moly....HOW MANY TIMES DOES CHRISTIE HAVE TO SAY HE HAS NO INTENTION ON RUNNING FOR POTUS IN 2012?????

'As is Levin'

Isn't Levin in VA? Last time I checked, VA IS NOT NE.

The first step of running for office has always been the denial of wanting to.

I highly doubt Chris is wanting to run for POTUS. He already has his hands full dealing w/ NJ.

Perhaps sometime in the furture, yes, he may consider, for now I believe him. He, as well as the rest of us, see what happens to those who run.

Besides, I think he wants Sarah. Just my HO.

From your Gallup Poll link:

"Now that the 2010 midterms are over, the big question swirling around Palin is whether she will run for the 2012 Republican presidential nomination. Given her high name recognition and broad popularity among Republicans, 80% of whom now view her favorably, she is clearly in a strong position to seek it." _______________________________________________________

Also from my Gallup Poll link:

53% of independents view her unfavorably

That's the crux of the matter right there. It's these apolitical, non-ideological, mushy-headed registered voters who refer to themselves as "independents" that, unfortunately, have the power to swing an election. A portion of those 270 electoral votes are in swing states, y'know. I WISH there were more solid red states like Texas...but there aren't. I WISH there were enough conservatives in the country to effectively render the independents/swing voters irrelevant...but there aren't. I WISH she had enough persuasive political power...but as we saw in Washington, Nevada, and Delaware, and her own state of Alaska, she doesn't.

That's what I mean by "let's be realistic".

No paternalistic condescension intended.

Again, this is not coming from a hatred of Sarah Palin. She would make a GREAT President. I would LOVE to see her kick Obama's a$$ in November 2012. (Imagine the reaction by the MSM! Katie Couric wearing all black the next day! The View ladies! xD)) But I just don't think she'll win.

I was wrong to say she has NO SHOT at winning, but I will say she has LITTLE CHANCE of winning (at this point in time, anyway. Who knows what the future will hold?)

I'm just about at the point that if Ann is against something these days then I might should look into why I shouldn't perhaps support it. Here of late it seems Ann is awful busy climbing in and out of bed with some very strange (alleged) Conservatives that do not (even pretend to) represent me and my families values. In short, Ann has most of her credibility of late with this conservative.

“I think it would be a step down for her to run for president”

This doesn’t make sense. Which is it—Palin can’t win or it would be a step down for her?

If Coulter is sincere, she wouldn’t say this. The most potent political platform is the presidency. You can’t step down to it.

I’m convinced Coulter has a hidden agenda.
