Faced with the prospect of a President Sarah Palin, New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie, the Republican partys darling from another coast, shook his head and rolled his eyes.
I dont know, but its an amazing world, he said to Jimmy Fallon during a taping of Tuesdays Late Night show.
Christie brought his sharp tongue to the talk show Tuesday after the two traded barbs over Twitter when the Republican governor canceled a long-planned Hudson River train tunnel.
Fallon had joked that New Yorkers would now have to get to New Jersey as they usually do by accident.
You think its funny, Jimmy? Christie challenged Fallon on the show, which airs at 12:35 a.m. You know what we do to people like that in Jersey?
Christie, known by Trenton insiders for his wit and occasionally foul language, turned serious and said New Jersey shouldnt have to pay for the tunnel while New York stands idly by.
Theres nothing New Jersey hates more than getting screwed by New York, he said....

I didn't see him roll his eyes. However, I do think his response was intentionally sarcastic. He definitely wasn't kissing Palin's ring. Good on him. He didn't insult, but he didn't genuflect. Christie is alpha-male all the way.
And I am happy to hear him say "No Way" to the VP slot. I hope that holds. I like him right here in NJ for as long as possible.

Is she a celebrity or a serious contender? Well, obviously she's both, and why not?
Methinks you PDS'ers are simply jealous of her and her family based on your hysterical complaints about her fame and power.

Ansell you nailed it on ari-fug.get.about.it. It’s a bit sad that these cynics are so unhappy....that they just hate, hate, HATE a happy warrior like SP.
This is the separation of wheat from the chaff movement...don’t look for the cynics for accuracy, advice or leadership, they will become increasingly unhinged, just as Babs Bush...they have nothing else.

No, actually I think many Palin backers are hysterical to the point of irrationality when anyone points out her flaws. Too bad FR is being overrun with Palinistas who think she is the only conservative voice out there and criticize any other possible Presidential contenders by name calling their supporters.

I just watched the video again. This journalist is full of crap.
Christie did no such thing. This is a flat-out lie, and I say that as a Palin supporter, and as a guy who is not nearly as high on the NJ Governor as some folks at FR.
Christie did not in any way demean Sarah Palin. This reporter owes him an apology.

I'll second that. It's way too early to start annointing candidates for 2012, and there are some good people in the wings with actual experience and depth. I'm a Sarah Palin fan and appreciative of the energy and clarity she has brought into the Republican party, but I will be disappointed if she has the hubris to think she's better suited than everyone else to be the next president. Some of these people need to grow up and realize we are facing incredible problems that need to be handled by a coalition of talented, experienced people. Having said that, it's time also to kick some of these tired Republican operatives to the curb, especially Karl Rove. His cult of political expediency led President Bush off the rails and we need to stop listening to him, period.

Roll your eyes at Sarah Palin and you roll your eyes at liberty.
I understand, Governor Christie—you probably did it because you don’t have the onions to stand up to the menace known as political correctness.
Governor Christie, you are a coward.

Sound the alarm! He wasnt completely in love with St. Sarah! I'm becoming ever more convinced that Palin's group sycophants are channeling an entire class of 7th grade girls.

Fallon asked this question?
Sarah is getting spread out awfully thin with all the heads she is living in....rent free.
And while Dancing with the stars was on, Bristol was in the second bedroom in their heads.
