Sarah Palin had choice words for the Democrats and the White House Tuesday: you can get on board the train, but it's headed in a new direction and there's little room for negotiation on key issues.
"It's a big darn deal," Palin said Tuesday of the GOP's gains in the House. "I think a lot of lessons are being learned tonight. I think there's going to be a lot of humbleness on both sides of the aisle after tonight - certainly the American public hope we'll see that."
Palin said the GOP should reach out to Democrats and to the Obama administration, but not at the expense of the principles that got Republican candidates elected.
"What the Republicans need to do is reach out to the Democrats, reach out to the White House and say, the train is leaving the station, come on board, we invite you to come on board, but we are heading in a different direction," Palin said. "The only way is with unity. If the Democrats, as they've proven, refuse to work in a bipartisan or nonpartisan manner, the train will leave them behind."
Palin said there are some things on which the newly-elected GOP candidates should not compromise.
"There can't be compromise on wheeling and dealing on any tax increase," Palin said. "Cap and tax, a tax on energy - that's off the table."(continued)

So does this mean we don’t have to sit in the back of Obama’s car anymore? LOL!
First thing they need to do it get the tax cuts reaffirmed as of January 1st. Then they need to GET RID OF OBAMACARE!!! Oklahoma voted it gone. Now the rest of us need it GONE!!! WE ARE TAKING BACK OUR COUNTRY!!! Now, republicans, get off your butts and DO SOMETHING WITH IT SO THAT WE CAN TAKE BACK THE WHITE HOUSE IN 2012. You screw this up and Obama keeps the WH. So, DO SOMETHING RIGHT!!! We are giving you the chance. NOW DO IT!!!
I loved it. she pretty much said they have to come to/with us, because we are not going to/with them! lol
When I read those words from Palin, I realized that Obama is going to have the hardest time running against her, because she gives it back to him the way he gives it to Republicans. The difference is, they are afraid (for various reasons) to respond as they should. She doesn’t have those restraints.
He’s going to hear these words and get all wee-wee-ish.
That’s the key—now that she’s got all this political credit, Obama and his thugs can keep treating her with derision, but there are going to be hard political costs now that there weren’t yesterday.
I read the excerpt, and was totally expecting to see a RINO style bending over. I was mildly surprised to not see that, but myself, I’d say ‘Reach out across the aisle and slap them silly.’
obama/Reid/Pelosi care is dead. Repealed, de-funded, ignored, it is gone.
cap-n-tax is DOA.
No more bailouts, period. No such thing as too big to fail.
No amnesty for illegals. I refuse to accept as a citizen of the United States someone who's first considered act in the United States was to violate our (immigration) laws. They are, and shall remain, illegals and non-citizens until the day they are jailed and/or deported.
Secure the southern border. Is it going to take another 9/11 style attack before the fools in DC wake up to the horrific National Security issue that is an open border?
Spending will be controlled. The budget will be balanced, and we will start paying down our debt. No, you may not cut defense, that is one of the few Constitutionally mandated activities the govt. is responsible for. You may, and should, cut ineffective and counter-productive entitlement programs.
Restore the Constitutional Republic. Stop usurping States rights at the federal level.
Remove the czars.
Note to DC: anyone, regardless of party, that does not get on board with these objectives will not get my vote.
One of the things about Palin is that she's not this rabid partisan who wants to ram an agenda down the opposition throat. Her abbreviated term as Governor was a model of working with the other party and accomplishing things. But the liberal media refuses to highlight that and portrays her as a mean old right-winger.
“I read the excerpt, and was totally expecting to see a RINO style bending over.”
Why?
Because that is what Republicans have done in the past, and it would be hardly shocking to see it happen yet again.
I don’t care what that Halmutt has to say.
I don’t care what that Halfmutt has to say.
Actually, it will be more difficult for Obama is she is NOT running against him, but is operating in a support role for the candidate. She can slam Obama any time she wants, and not have to worry about what the media says about her. ;o)
