Former vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin alleges that the media has a blatant double standard, shining intense scrutiny on GOP Senate nominee Christine O'Donnell while turning a blind eye to then-candidate Barack Obama's personal history in the 2008 campaign.
During an interview with Fox News host Greta Van Susteren Wednesday night, Palin said: "Funny . . . That we are learning more about Christine O'Donnell and her college years, her teenage years, her financial dealings than anybody ever even bothered to ask about Barack Hussein Obama as a candidate and now as our president."

Palin also recently tweeted to O'Donnell, Republican nominee for the U.S. Senate from Delaware, that she shouldn't waste time "appeasing natl media seeking ur destruction.
Obama has come under some criticism during his campaign and after for failing to release documents and background material on his life that has been de rigeur for most candidates.
Obama has yet to release college transcripts and files from his undergraduate work at Occidental College and Columbia University, and later at Harvard Law School. His college dissertation at Columbia has disappeared. Many of his official papers during his time as an Ilinois state representative have also disappeared. He has never released his full medical records.
Palin's reference on the Van Susteren program to the president's middle name, Hussein, drew national media attention.
During the the 2008 presidential campaign, Obama and his campaign never referred to his middle name of Arabic origin, which means "good; small handsome one."
And Sen. John McCain's presidential campaign studiously avoided using Barack Obama's complete name.
In fact, using Obama's full name was so taboo that when conservative radio host Bill "Willie" Cunningham used it to fire up a McCain rally in Cincinnati, the senator was forced to apologize.

When she said the bit about running for president in the interview, she said if nobody stood up for conservative principles AND NOBODY WAS WILLING TO STAND UP TO THE LEFT WING. She may run, and if she truly stands up to the left wing, she may win. As it stands, she may have about half the elected officials in the country in her pocketbook after this election.
The media went to great lengths to bury stuff about Obama. But they sent armies of reporters to Wasilla when McLame picked Sarah.
They know Americans won’t like O’Commie’s marxist background.
You can say THAT again. But next time, ping me.
You are right. If we are cowed by political correctness then we might as well stay home. However, this article is talking about McCain, enough said already, and the 2008 campaign. That was long ago in political time. Palin is obviously not afraid to use it.
The 2008 campaign and John McCain are good lessons for the future. McCain was the stereotypical "moderate" Republican. He sought not to offend anyone, especially the NYTimes. He was attempting to attract the fictitious mushy middle so sought after by the political consultants.
When Palin would light up a crowd the consultants, Larry Schmidt (?), would rein her in and keep her off stage. Either they planned to lose, which I suspect more every day, or they lost because they were chasing the fools' gold of the illusive moderate voter.
We need to ignore all that, ignore the consultants, which means also ignore the Republican Party apparatus except to use it for our own purposes, forget political correctness, the intent of which is to silence us, ignore the media, and go full speed ahead with the ideas of the Tea Party Movement.
By now we all know the tactics of the Left. We need to stop pretending we don't know what they are doing and call them on it. I am still extremely disappointed that George Allen allowed the media and the Democrats to use the innocent "makaca" statement to run him out of the race. Instead of apologizing, probably on the advice of a political consultant, if he had kept preaching his conservative gospel and had ignored the Makaca thing he would have won. Instead, he let the Left control the agenda. O'Donnell needs to take that message and follow Palin's advice and ignore the distractions of the Left and stay on message. If she does she will win.
This is a story because she said his middle name out loud ? What’s wrong with that - it’s his name. Like Ted Kennedy calling the President George Herbert Hoover Bush ?
True, but what is Mitt Romney but a younger, better-looking and wealthier version of John McCain? That way lies destruction.
Well he was sworn is as Barack Hussein Obama...
LOL x 4
I completely agree.
Whatever Obama and the MSM are hiding is of sufficient hideousness that it would not only have insured he not be nominated in 2008, but would insure no reelection in 2012 election.
That's the only conclusion I can draw from the refusal to release anything. No school records, no medical records. I think this is unprecedented in presidential history.
He is a communist.
You’re getting a tick in your “post” button finger.
Or Carter talking about Hubert Horatio Hornblower!

Oh Geez. Sorry. I’m on my daughter’s laptop and it takes so long to post. Not used to that. I’ll watch it next time.
God bless Sarah for having the courage to call out the media and its double standard.
It might just be a (failed) attempt at emphasis.
I’d love for Palin or somebody to use my line:
The media did more investigating of Joe the plumber Wurzelbacher in 24 hours than they did of Baraq Hussein Obama in 24 months.
That day is over and they had best adjust to it. Some, like Rove, Steele, Armey, etc., are having a hard time doing that.
In Kenyan, it means "islamic pantload."
Just ribbing ya :) Done it myself a few times.
