Run, Sarah, Run (Says Obama would beat her, which he thinks is a good thing)
The Dallas Morning News ^ | September 02, 2010 | William McKenzie

Yeah, you read that right. May Sarah Palin get the 2012 GOP nomination. Putting her on the top of the ticket would be the best thing that could happen to the GOP, and here's why:

Unless Barack Obama totally blows the next two years, she would get waxed in a general election. Then she would be out of the way and the GOP can go about building a strong, broad coalition, the kind that can lead to a governing coalition.

I've more or less said that before about Palin, but reading her undermining of GOP Sen. Lisa Murkowski's reelection bid in Alaska made me want to say it again. According to this New York Times story , Palin didn't like not Murkowski's father, who was Alaska's governor, appointing his daughter to the Senate seat he previously held. Not because Lisa Murkowski was particularly bad, but because Gov. Murkowski didn't appoint Sarah Palin, then an Alaskan mayor.

Now, I'm not an expert on Alaska's internal politics, so I don't if this story is 100 percent gospel. But it certainly tracks everything else we know about Palin. Namely, that she is good at division and appears largely in this for herself.

Before commenters go off calling me a typical Democrat, let me remind you that I voted for John McCain for president in 2008. And that meant, I voted for John McCain and Sarah Palin.

I confess she made it hard to pull the lever, but I did because I liked his more liberal Republicanism. And I thought he would be a debt-fighter.

But after watching her for the last two years, it seems pretty clear_that she's not in the big-tent category of Republicans. What's more, she is the sort of loose cannon that could really damage the party.

Save this article, you might get to send it back to William McKenzie after the 2012 elections.

This guy does a great job of revealing why the Romney branch of the GOP despises Governor Palin, and he hopes that a second Obama win would finish off this conservative surge, led by her.

“Then she would be out of the way and the GOP can go about building a strong, broad coalition,”

“I’ve more or less said that before about Palin, but reading her undermining of GOP Sen. Lisa Murkowski’s reelection bid in Alaska made me want to say it again.”

“Before commenters go off calling me a typical Democrat, let me remind you that I voted for John McCain for president in 2008. And that meant, I voted for John McCain and Sarah Palin.
I confess she made it hard to pull the lever, but I did because I liked his more liberal Republicanism.”

“after watching her for the last two years, it seems pretty clear_that she’s not in the big-tent category of Republicans.”

“Kay Bailey Hutchison talked some about broadening the GOP tent in her Texas gubernatorial primary.”

“So I say, run, Sarah, run. And may her demise lead to the GOP’s renewal.”

Strange. That's EXACTLY why I like her! If he wants a "big-tent category" he should check out Meghan McCain.

Interesting, obama on one hand or palin on the other, not a hard decision in my book.
i would vote for her, but i feel media would kill her.
she has a very important role in our government and perhaps

I think the Republican nominee and the next president will be largely determined by whether or not the Clintons run against the Kenyan. If they do, then the Republican primaries will be a Republican affair and Republicans will select the Republican nominee which, at this point, looks to be Palin who will beat the Democrat handily. If Soetoro is unopposed the Democrats will flood the Republican primaries and, in co-operation with the RNC, will choose Romney for the Republicans. Romney will lose and the Imam will be re-elected.

You're almost talking in tongues. I'm having a difficult time trying to understand precisely why you won't vote for Sarah Palin if she's the Republican nominee?
