Sarah endorsed the conservative Hispanic woman in NM’s governor’s primary race ten days before the election. In a field of five, Susana Martinez was running neck and neck with the former state GOP chair, Allen Weh who was spending big bucks in all the media. On election day she crushed Weh and all the others with a 52 or 53 percentage win to Weh’s 28%. Martinez now has a good chance to win the governor’s office against Richardson’s Lt. Gov, also a woman.

Palin downplayed her impact on Wednesday, telling Fox News that "any credit given to me is way overblown." She credited the "message" of the candidates, particularly the women she calls the "mama grizzlies." Interesting that she's not tooting her own horn. How refreshing!
