Loyalty doesn’t bug me. When they start sounding like McCain I’ll get miffed.
“she’d be “Sarah Who?” She owes him something”
Rush is right on. Only the Palin haters are stirring things up. That said I’m supporting JD with contributions and I don’t care how much money McQueeg spends or who supports him it will not change my mind on the back stabber.
I would submit that she doesn't owe him her integrity.
Put a sock in it.
Sara Palin has done a lot of good for conservatives.
Backing McCain undoes a lot of that good.
With her endorsement the elite that named him in the first place can claim that conservatives still support him and that the Tea Parties and "others" are radicals - "Palin haters" if you will.
She is just one of the crowd after pimping for Juan.
Come on. You don’t judge people on one event. You have to look at the totality of the circumstances. Nobody is perfect 100% of the time.
Loyalty should only be to what is right and to the truth.
That is exactly the right decision. Outwork the McCain side to nominate Hayworth then it won’t matter who does or doesn’t endorse him.
Who did you vote for in 2008?
That said, this idea of Mrs. Palin "oweing" John McCain is just wrong. That is exactly how politics has gotten so twisted in this country. Mrs. Palin stands capably on her own two feet. As should all political candidates.
No two ways about it, this was a mistake for Mrs. Palin to offer support for McCain, not just politically, but on the limited government side of where we need to be in this country.
This could cost her support, and more importantly, if Jaun reciprocates at the 2012 time frame it will be viewed as a negative on her.
My opinion, she should back quietly away starting now.
I voted for Sarah Palin.
***it wont matter who does or doesnt endorse him***
You have stated the case for the TEA movement perfectly and I believe it supports Sarah Palin’s. The people are the source of a candidate’s success or failure - not fellow politicians.
Each candidate should stand on his own merits to face the voters.
McCain’s not that bad, folks. He’s a combination of ingredients.
We either adore or hate our politicians, which is a juvenile way to be. Is it because we enjoy being whipped up by the radio and TV talkers, just as we enjoy a good sports competition?
I see, it was ok to vote for McCain and allow him to be president so you could support her, but you can’t support her to allow him to be a Senator. What is there that you don’t see? She has to support him. He asked her to. He put her on the ma. Doesn’t loyalty mean anything? All of the good she has done, all she has spoken out for and against means nothing because of one issue? You deserve Romney.
The press would destroy Sarah if she turned against McCain. She would no longer have the same level of power and influence that she does now. And not having that power and influence is extremely detrimental to our cause.
So you expect Sarah to give up her power and influence in order to throw McCain under the bus? That’s cutting off our noses to spite our faces, is it not?
IMO she owes Juan nothing. He let her twist in the wind with the attacks on her in '08 and let his jerks in hs campaign insult her & foment further attacks on her. JD Haworth would be a great conservative replacement for liberal REgressive 'rat-friendly open-borders Bailout John./
Sarah has to do what she has to do. Her personal integrity is on the line here. She has to repay McCain for putting her on the big stage.
But, after this election, she won’t owe John McCain the courtesy of a return phone call, and can go wherever her heart and her integrity takes her.
I’d bet dollars to donuts that she’s secretly rooting for JD Hayworth.
I’ve always said, “Sarah, that ain’t rogue”... Here’s the Real Deal-y-o...
First, nothing can help John McCain. Sarah couldn’t get him into the White House and she’s not going to get him re-elected. Second, Sarah is spending political capitol to pay off a political debt. If she goes through with her support of John, she’s going to be laced with him, like an albatross around her neck till hell freezes over, and she’s going to have to accept what comes of it.
To the purist Tea Party affiliates she is already looking and sounding like the rest of the DC crowd, playing political games to stay relevant. To them she is slipping into the mold, not breaking it. To the purist, “political realities” do not matter. Sarah has to decide if being loyal to the scuzz that brought her to the dance is worth it, or, does she really, really, really go rogue, slap the scuzz down and walk out on him.
Sarah, he’s used you before and intends to do it again, he’s a scuzz Sarah... is it worth it to be loyal to a scuzz. I don’t care what Rush says, Sarah, you would do yourself a big, big favor is you parted ways with the Liberal Republican in conservative’s clothing. To us, John is a turn coat, always has been and always will be... hell girl, we only voted for him because you were on the ticket... be loyal to the folks that want to believe in you...
