Which Groups of People Have Been ZOTTED from Free Republic
Posted on 07/12/2009 10:06:15 AM PDT by Repub_licans2010
I've been hearing that some groups of people are not welcome at Free Republic anymore, but I didn't believe what I was hearing because that seems like the complete opposite of "Free". I've heard that supporters of Mitt Romney, Mike Huckabee, Ron Paul, Rudy Giuliani, John McCain, and more are no longer welcome to post at this site.
This site is about uniting people together against the liberal onslaught that is ruining our country and we could use all the help we can get right?
Please correct me so I can correct others who have told me that this is the case. A new slogan is making it's rounds that 'the Free Republic has become anything but.'

Man you caught me at a bad time! :-) I'm burning DVDs for a FRIEND of mine, and my PC is virtually unusable...no DMA on the older DVD burner!
Repub_licans2010 - FreeRepublic is indeed free! Idiots are FREE to post their support of Mitt Romney, Mike Huckabee, Ron Paul, Rudy Giuliani, and John McCain. Conversely, we're FREE to illustrate through factual data that these men aren't CONSERVATIVE. The exception would be (IMHO) Ron Paul. A lot of us would him before a RINO.
The real problem is a classic problem of leftism. Those who have most likely complained to you are entirely founded on emotions. We aren't. So when we kick their asses using written communications, they get emotional about it, and call us MEAN. Some digress to profanity, and THAT can and does get them banned from FreeRepublic.
FreeRepublic is as FREE as as it's always been. The fact that you're still "alive" here should be proof enough of that. How many of us would have lasted half as long at the DemocRATic Underground making such a pathetic attempt at trolling?
I haven't posted my own classic ZOT to you yet, although your original posting seriously warrants consideration of it.

If Mitt is propelled into the GOP nomination in the same mysterious forces which were behind John McCain during this last round, look across the isle at the DNC's nomination. THAT is who will win. Bet on it.

Yes! But the difference is that I’ve seen you to tell people to go to hell in such a way that certainly made them look forward to the trip! Then again, other times...well... admin mods pulled those! LOL! :-)

The people in charge of banning the people who post about what type of people get banned have been banned.Ok, you win. There are two types of posters: Those that post about what type of posters that get banned and those that don't post about the type of posters that get banned. Agreed?

Yep -- I predict that the next thing you're going to do is to accuse those of us who treat you "poorly" as being motivated by nothing but irrational "hatred." That would be consistent.
I think you've predicted this one as close as anybody yet!

Romney speaking platitudinous music to conservatives' ears:
"The invisible hand of the market always moves faster and better than the heavy hand of government."
Too bad those words are fluffy, pretty frosting on a crap cupcake. If you read the piece you linked, as I did, you see that NOWHERE does he advocate smaller government. NOT IN ONE SINGLE PLACE, Repub_licans2010, and if you think I'm lying, go in there as post a quote where what he advocates involves smaller government. ROMNEY ADVOCATES BIGGER GOVERNMENT, just a different kind. You make the mistake of confusing permanent tax cuts with smaller government; they are different things.
He writes: "... like a lot of Republicans I believe that a well-crafted stimulus plan is needed to put people back to work."
Unless that "stimulus plan" is primarily focused on CUTTING GOVERNMENT, it means increased government by defnintion!!! THINK!!!!
He writes: "First, there are two ways you can put money into the economy, by spending more or by taxing less. But if it's stimulus you want, taxing less works best. That's why permanent tax cuts should be the centerpiece of the economic stimulus."
Unless by "spending more" he means you and me and other regular folks -- which I seriously doubt!!!! -- he means the GOVERNMENT spending more. He is saying that the government "spending more" is a way to put money into the economy, and that, dear, is the antithesis of smaller government. Hello!!!!!! The Founders and conservative principle would say that the ONLY time that government should presume to spend more of its citizens' taxes is in the name of national security or a truly compelling reason. "Spending more" on the part of our government in an attempt to manipulate the economy is a bogus goal that, again, is the antithesis of limited government and conservative principle.
I'm glad he likes permanent tax cuts, and no matter who instigates them -- Obama or Romney -- they would lead to increased prosperity. But tax cuts, permanent or temporary, are very different from "smaller government."
It is FALSE to claim that Romney "advocates smaller government." His own words prove otherwise.
All people have to do is READ and LISTEN to Romney to understand WHY he is poison to conservatism and the Republic.
