I've been hearing that some groups of people are not welcome at Free Republic anymore, but I didn't believe what I was hearing because that seems like the complete opposite of "Free". I've heard that supporters of Mitt Romney, Mike Huckabee, Ron Paul, Rudy Giuliani, John McCain, and more are no longer welcome to post at this site.
This site is about uniting people together against the liberal onslaught that is ruining our country and we could use all the help we can get right?
Please correct me so I can correct others who have told me that this is the case. A new slogan is making it's rounds that 'the Free Republic has become anything but.'
LOL!! Thats a good one. Mind if I save it?
Yeah, that's it! Zot
He can talk all he wants, but the facts are that his plan in Massachusetts is 3x's over budget already, and taxes are indeed going to have to be raised to pay for it.
A real conservative solution would not involve the government.
You'd know that if you'd been reading here for months as you claim.
I voted for Romney in the Michigan primaries because I thought he had the best chance of beating McLame.
I would’ve preferred Thompson, but knew he didn’t have a chance here.
My only consolation was when Sarah was picked for VP.
And naturally, I got my first information about her here, before the rest of the nation, and was able to educate some people about her.
I thought you said you frequented FR a lot. If you have to ask the above question, either you're pretty slow to figure stuff out, or you're exaggerating how often and how much you read FR.
NEWCOMER, here is a very simple question!!!
Where did you hear that, from some instigating uninformed idiots on DU???
A plan that "pays for itself" is libspeak for raising taxes. Anyone who has paid attention over the past 20 years should be able to figure that out.
How has Mitt's healthcare plan worked in Massachussetts?
Gawwwd. You must be a Romney fan. Self-pitying whiner. You're not being treated "poorly," you're being treated the way you set yourself up TO be treated, and walked into it with your eyes wide open.
Yep -- I predict that the next thing you're going to do is to accuse those of us who treat you "poorly" as being motivated by nothing but irrational "hatred." That would be consistent.
You get the Snoopscold Award for the day.
Congrats.
I see you triggered the usual attack :) !
Somebody else told me the same thing yesterday, and cited this:

You wanted to find out if you would be banned as a Mitt Romney supporter.
Now, you have found that you are engaged in this boring debate.
Entertainment over.
People get banned from FR by asking to or refusing to listen to the mods on how to play nice, or by being obvious trolls. I’ve never seen anybody who would follow the rules and not take the argument past the point of mod nudging get banned, no matter what people or viewpoints they favored.
And that’s the truth I’ve eye-witnessed.
There are people who feel their viewpoints are not appreciated, and who sometimes allow themselves to be baited into a hot argument that can get them banned, or choose to leave because of it, but that’s a different matter altogether. They choose to take it past the limit or quit.
Hey Finny, Aren’t you the keeper of the Morman haters ping list?
If people wish to support socialists, liberals, RINOs, frauds, liars, scumbags, and abortionists that’s their right. And they’re certainly welcome to open up their own website to do so.
Ain’t freedom grand!
zot.
There were no purges. There was a flap with some particularly nasty Giuliani supporters during the early primaries, which took a turn for the worst when many of said supporters were blatant in their contempt for 95% of the political facets advocated by the management at FR, and in invective-filled screeds attacked proponents of things like small government, gun rights, rights of the unborn, etc. After the biggest toads were evicted mostly for personal attacks, MOST the rest of their gaggle of 1960’s Democrats formed a new website to pimp Giuliani, and neoconservatism in general - “Half Asleep” or something like that. Lots of Bush fetishism too. Disgusting stuff.
Calling right-wing Republicans “retards” and “extremists”, or saying that those who reject Giuliani are “unappeasable 99 percenters” is a good way to get booted off FR.
Ow, that had to leave a mark.
Maybe people made it up, but I saw Romney quoted on FR as saying he "loved" mandates. Also, the worst part of Mitt's plan wasn't the mandates that he had to KNOW were going to be added, it was the presumption of promoting government intrusion into private relationships between employers, employees, health care providers, and insurers. That is on its face the antithesis of limited government conservatism.
The only "plan" that will work or that conservatives can support in principle is one that minimizes or REMOVES government meddling and intrusion into the relationships between individuals and their employers, health care providers, and insurers.
A member since Friday??!! Oh please! But don’t worry, I’ll pretend you’re NOT a troll as I let you know that supporters of traitors, sell-outs and other typical RINO’s do not get banned from FR. You will be laughed at, wondered at and quickly exposed for what you really are, but you will not be banned.
That’s right. The liberals made him do it. And they’re making him brag about it today. There’s nothing better than government force to get the job done!
