This is based on one man's opinion. But GOP needs to find more seats to challenge than 23.

An update is due out before end of month.

The odds have tipped considerably more in our direction since March 11. Our problem is the sorry state of the GOP organization under McCain/Steele. They cannot decide if they want to oppose Obama or support him.

The GOP needs to find a way to nationalize the upcoming election. That means they need a spokesman, a person who can speak out with clarity and indict the entire Democrat apparatus. Anyone who saw Meet the Press on Sunday knows who it should be.

Are you referring to Newt Gingrich? I didn’t see Meet the Press.

We need to be targeting 40-50 House seats.

No duh. +40 net is needed for a majority. At least 50 need to be seriously targeted.

Agreed. No more unopposed incumbents.

I have to give the Dems credit for something though. Their organization is better than ours. Even long shot candidates get adequate websites from a specific provider.

dj,
once again, the UFO and Bilderberger stories get many times more views and comments than threads with useful information, especially if it has anything to do with the real world of conservatives running for office.

I guess your average Freeper is a pundit wannabee. What percentage of the posters do you think are “active in politics” at even a minimal level?

Your guess is as good as mine. It seems like a substantial majority of the country is blind, sleeping or disengaged (or both) to politics. People wonder how horrible regimes come to power... that’s how. I think it’s going to take something truly catastrophic to wake people up.

Wars and bad economy have a way of causing people to change their beliefs. Many people had strong dislikes for the Iraqi War. Also when the financial crisis came in Sept 08, many older folks lost 7 years of savings or even more. People were out for blood. Unfortunately it was GOP blood.
Currently, people blame everything bad on Bush. That is why the False One’s favorite word is inherit. The False One is playing on people’s sentiment. As a result, he has goodwill from the American people to do anything he wants.
