At age 27, Congressman-Elect Aaron Schock (R-IL) will be the youngest Member of Congress. Though some in the well entrenched political circles in Washington, DC may be skeptical and even critical of this rockstar, they will most likely find themselves blown away.

Age and being a member of the minority party seem like two great disadvantages for this incoming Member of Congress. However, both have failed to stop this silver bullet lawmaker.

When he was just five years old, Aaron started selling strawberries with his siblings on their family farm. Just ten years later he was working in a gravel pit, earning up to $18,000 a year. After years of saving, Aaron purchased his first piece of real estate on his 18th birthday.

Making money and investing weren’t Aaron’s only strong points. He also proved to be just as dedicated to his education, completing a four year degree in Finance in just two years.

We have people like this fine gentleman...but the liberals have character assassins. They long ago subscribed to the theory that you can only assassinate a PERSON once, but you can assassinate their CHARACTER every day. They can increase their pleasure that way.

the story of the next Ronald Reagan. unlike Bushes, he worked hard from nothing thru free enterprise and capitalism to rise thru the ranks. How touching.

They left Aaron’s military service entirely off this story. As young women his age are deploying for the third and fourth time overseas, what uniform is Aaron wearing?

Let us not forget there is no one in the military that is there by force. They volunteered.

That’s true, and his decision not to volunteer really leaves me cold. I’m glad we’ve got guys like Duane Hunter who set the standard. I wonder if Schock has given a reason explaining his decision to forego service?

We will see.

I hope he is better than Henry Hyde was.

Whatever his shorcomings, Hyde didn’t hide when young men his age were at war.
