(Vanity) A Brief Comment on the Election

Well, the election has come and gone like a shot, apparently. After the interminable round of primaries, Operation Chaos, PUMAs, the conventions, Sarah-cuda, and all the rest.

In one night Obama and Biden have won.

This means we have a troika: Reid, Obama, Pelosi. The "rulers of peace" (ROP).

But this also means, they can no longer blame Bush and the evil Republicans for anything that goes wrong.

This includes:

the economy
the Middle East
taxes
tainted food from China
immigration
crime
unemployment
gas prices

Let us never lose an opportunity to loudly proclaim:

"OBAMA'S FAULT!"

Secondly, can we now revisit affirmative action? A black man has become President. This surely means that Sandra Day O'Connor's mythical 30-year period has passed.

Third, speaking of this: let us see what Obama's cabinet looks like. I foresee many laughs.

If laughing at a Dem is not redefined as a Hate Crime.

Which brings me to the fourth point: beware the ACLU, the Fairness Doctrine, and the Redistribution crowd.

In an earlier vanity, I compared Obama's tongue to Saruman's, in a famous passage from The Lord of The Rings. Let us pray and work to assure that we do not re-live Saruman's usurpation of the Shire; and that our Frodos, Sams, Merrys, and Pippins are equal to the task of Scouring the Shire at the end of the next two- or four-year election cycle.

Which brings me to the last point.

Whatever happens in the next four years, let us hold our heads high. For we can say, proudly, to all the world:

Don't Blame Me. I voted for McCain-Palin!

TOPICS: Campaign News; Parties; Polls
KEYWORDS: election2008; mccain; obama2008; rino; whiskersvanity
NO cheers, unfortunately.

I foresee the first four acts of Obama will be:

1) Freedom of Choice Act

2) Abandonment of Israel

3) Union Card Check Legislation

4) Tax hikes and redistribution up the wazoo.

...and gutting the military.

Let us all pray for our nation, God's mercy, and peace.

Kyrie Eleison!

I see Pelosi/Reid/Schumer bringing the Fairness Doctrine to the well of the House and the Senate Floor by the first week in February.

All Obama would have to do is assert that he inherited all the negatives from Bush and all the people would accept it as fact.

I feel broken hearted. I love this country and our values and we elected someone who hates this country and our values. I’m going to cling tighter to my guns and religion.

You forgot the Civil Defense Force.

Maybe I can get a command. I can punch civilians...hey, it’s for the common good.

Please, this is the Dems we are talking about here. They will never take responsibility. They can all vote for something and then convince their idiotic constituents that Bush fooled them and forced them into voting for it.

They will just blame their lack of progress on “failed” Bush policies of the past.

“But this also means, they can no longer blame Bush and the evil Republicans for anything that goes wrong..”

######

Incorrect, because of the 4th leg of their power and perhaps, as this disastrous election has shown, the most important.

They have near 100% cover from the media who will be able to spin ANY problem to the “8 years of Bush” legacy.

This is where you are wrong. FDR in the 30’s managed to blame all of his own mismanagement of the economy on Hoover and did so successfully. His policies singlehandedly kept our country in a depression for 10 years until Adolf Hitler bailed him out. Hoover got all the blame.

Obama has a media even more in the tank for him than FDR did. It will be easy.

Actually, I just ordered a few new bumper stickers.

DON'T BLAME ME CONRADE, I VOTED McCAIN / PALIN

THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA, 1776 - 2009, REST IN PEACE

OBAMA / PELOSI / REID, THE AXIS OF FASCISM

Just a little stress relief.

Not the tax hikes.

Not the gas price spikes.

Not the mass-casualty terror attacks on US soil.

Kyrie, Eleison.

I am also heartbroken. I cannot sleep and yes I am clinging to my religion right now. I do not know how I will look my three children in the eye in the morning knowing we are facing at least four years of economic hardship. As a dual income family, we fall into Obama's category of the rich by attempting to create a better life for ourselves and our children. I never wanted to believe the stories about the next generation being worse off, but now I do.

No, we will still hear "Bush's Fault".

But now, it is so bad that it can't be fixed by The One in just 4 years.

Next, it will have been so bad that it can't be fixed by The One in just 8 years.

FDR ran on this for his 3rd term; there were a lot of people who still honored George Washington's example and comments on this topic during FDR's time and he met with some resistence. That resistence did not move into action until after his death.

The real question here is, can the states hold off a repeal of the 22nd Amendment. The cult popularity of Clinton gave this idea some minor, but detectable, traction.

A lot can happen in 8 years...

It doesn't matter that Democrats are in charge...with a 10% approval rating; the complicit media will NOT attack Osama OR the Democrats but merely blame Republicans, no matter what.

If the unemployment goes to 7% or more (as businesses lay off people to pay their tax bill), and inflation hits double digits (it will, when the spending on social programs/giveaways kick in), and your taxes go up with expiration of the Bush tax cuts, it will ALWAYS be Bush's fault, and the Republicans' fault.

Likewise, when the fairness doctrine kicks in, you won't be ALLOWED to criticize the Messiah and his socialist supporting cast.

That would be "racist" and "hate speech", doncha know?

You make the assumption that there will be an election in 4 years, I’m not so sure there will be.
