A New Website For People Against Obama

To My Fellow Free Republic Bloggers,

I have been with you for four years now. From Bush-Kerry to McCain-Obama. I am proud to say not only have my conservative views remained in tact, they have strengthened. This is why I am posting this thread. The election that is upon us will truly determine the direction of our sacred country. In the words of Pres. Reagan:

"You and I are told we must choose between a left or right, but I suggest there is no such thing as a left or right. There is only an up or down. Up to man's age-old dream--the maximum of individual freedom consistent with order -- or down to the ant heap of totalitarianism."

There has never been a time that I have taken these words to mean so much than this current election cycle. Unfortunately, we do not have the benefit of having a candidate as charismatic, charming, and conservative as Pres. Reagan. That said, I am in a troubling position. The way I see it I have two options with their own respective problems. I can either not vote for McCain in hopes that the GOP will have to reshape the party's platform back to the Goldwater conservatism days (when Republicans wanted a limited government), or I can vote for McCain in hopes that he will not increase the size of government as dramatically as Obama.

Whatever my choices are I cannot sit ideally by while one presidential candidate gets a free pass to the White House. Thus far, Obama has been in a honeymoonesque bubble of hype. A bubble that the main stream media refuses to burst. The gaffes and misstatements that Obama has committed sunk Dan Quayle. Apart from the hype, Obama is left with two empty words: hope and change. These words are empty for Obama because he puts forward nothing new, or worse off nothing at all sometimes. We cannot let this man get elected!

I am writing this to inform you on a website that refuses to continue the generous coverage on Obama's candidacy. A news source that will report what is underreported. Anything that pertains to Obama the website will cover. This website has the potency to burst the hype that is Obama.

I can either not vote for McCain in hopes that the GOP will have to reshape the party's platform back to the Goldwater conservatism days (when Republicans wanted a limited government), or I can vote for McCain in hopes that he will not increase the size of government as dramatically as Obama.

The GOP is lost. When 100 GOP US reps in the house voted for a pork filled farm bill this year it was obvious the GOP is no longer the party of limited government. I re-registered as an independent a few weeks back because I am a conservative above Republicanism. I intend to vote for McCain because as far as I can tell he is a fiscal conservative, opposed to earmarks. He is also a defense hawk, and a social conservative. Can I get angry about his campaign finance bill that IMO was a limit on free speech? Absolutely. That I don't agree with him 100% on all issues doesn't mean I wont vote for him. He's a fiscal, social, and defense minded conservative. He had my vote after Romney dropped out.

I've certainly not been trilled with the GOP during the last few years. The reasons, frankly, are too numerous to list here, but a big part of the source of my frustration is the illegal immigration pacifism on the part of this administration. Additionally, I am not all that keen on McCain as the Republican nominee.

The reason I will vote for McCain this election is that the alternative is unthinkable. I hate to say that I'm choosing the lesser of two evils, but unfortunately, that's the choice I have been presented with.

How can we? I did not see a link for doing so. There was no "Contact Us" link. Great website, however.
