It is too late for McCain to make things right with me. I’ll vote for conservatives down the ballot - but I will not vote for McCain. I’ll vote for another republican on the ballot, or a third party candidate. McCain must be denied the opportunity to do further damage.
While I, like you, would rather see the pendullum swinging right, not left, perhaps even for McCain the times inwhich we live may help sway him in that direction:

And as Rep. Mike Spence clearly shows, even if the GOP goes on ‘conservative’ hold for 4 years, the GOP benchwarmers are warming up for a Reagan Rebound....keep an open mind for a few months, who knows, Huckabee might even win Kansas!
Ping!
My sentiments exactly.
Only, I don’t respect his position on life because it’s lukewarm as he supports using our money for embryonic stem cell research. Furthermore, whats the use of the pro-life movement if McCain is out there punishing pro-life groups who would like to speak out
I can list 20 things off the top of myhead the utterly and completely disqualify this idiot from office. Yet here we are.
McCain is a crazy choice by anybody’s standards.
Every time we elect a “RINO”, the bar of Conservatism is moved even farther to the left of the political spectrum.
If our Country is to be torn apart even further, let that person who leads us, not have an “R” in front of his name.
We need to re double our efforts at regaining control of the House and the Senate to thwart to efforts of the libs and RINOS. They think they have us on the run, let’s turn it around on them.
We need to keep the fire at the feet of our representatives as we did during the “shamnesty” debacle.
Your fellow citizens are going to decide who is the least unfit. You can participate or stay home and whine. The decision will be made without you.
I’m not committed to supporting McCain if he’s the nominee, but I’m leaning towards it. His choice for running mate will be very important.
As for illegal aliens, he’s no worse than the current President.
Just 20?
Pissant, you’re slipping ;-)
Amen....
Even at the risk of sending the Clintons or Obama to the White House — McCain will NOT receive my vote.
Senator McCain hasn’t secured the nomination:

Old, sick, mean and crazy.
“He is a supporter of the North American Free Trade Agreement and voted for the Central American Free Trade Agreement”
____________________________________________________
That is a good thing. Free trade is a hallmark conservative position. Countries with the best free trade policies are the wealthiest of all countries, and those with the poorest free trade policies (e.g. North Korea) are the poorest. Only those who feel we cannot compete want laws to prevent us from competing.
The choice to lead this nation is not between some “ideal” candidate who is not in the race and Hillary/Obama, but between Hillary/Obama and McCain.
As Mike Pense said “Conservatives don’t have to agree on everything. But we do need to agree on one thing: There cannot be a President Obama or another President Clinton in the White House.”
I will not vote for amnesty for illegals.
On the litmus test issues of our time, only partially excluding Iraq, McCain is a liberal.
— He excoriated Samuel Alito as too “conservative.”
— He promoted amnesty for 20 million illegal immigrants.
— He abridged citizens’ free speech (in favor of the media) with McCain-Feingold.
— He hysterically opposes waterboarding terrorists and wants to shut down Guantanamo.
— He denounced the Swift Boat Veterans for Truth.
— He opposes ANWR and supports the global warming cult, even posturing with fellow mountebank Arnold Schwarzenegger in front of solar panels.
The only site that would have been more appropriate for Schwarzenegger in endorsing McCain would have been in front of an abortion clinic.
What you say may be correct, but McCain’s Americans for Democratic Action rating ranged from 10 to 35% from 2004 to 2006. Clinton’s and Obama’s ranged from 95 to 100 percent.
