Ed Rollins is a nasty, nasty piece of work. Here he was tonight on Fox News:
Rollins: The wise men like you who say Huckabee doesnt have a snowballs chance in heck - well, he can still go out and take his message to the people. And weve seen all the wisdom doesnt live in Washington, and all the wisdom doesnt live in the press corps.
Wallace: You can accuse me of a lot of things, but I would note weve had Mike Huckabee on Fox News Sunday several times
Rollins: and were very grateful for the opportunity to take our message to the people.
Chris Wallace: Back to you, Brit.
Brit Hume: Chris, its always a joy to interview a cheerful winner.
And heres a bit of this charming man caught by Amanda Carpenter (thanks to Michael van der Galien):
-He distinctly talked about going negative in South Carolina and told someone on the phone to put some good in there if you have to, with the bad. Do what you gotta do.
-Rollins let the f-bomb fly twice and told his blonde female dining companion a joke about flying the Confederate flag in the South Carolina state capitol.
-Rollins indicated several times their campaign was the victim of dirty tricks and that they were being unfairly outspent.
-Rollins made a phone call to Lou Dobbs and said he would ready to have drinks with him after Iowa to talk about Hillary. There also was a reference to Rollins recent comments about wanting to knock Romneys teeth out, as Rollins told Dobbs they are all porcelain.
-Rollins called said Fred Thompson was as disgrace as a candidate. Fred has been a friend a long time, but has never converted a single vote. No one is taking him seriously.
Rollins, of course, is Mike Huckabees main man. Im ashamed that a man who acts like that would be working so closely to a man who purports to be a Christian. Huckabee has shown no inclination to reprimand him or rein him in. I can only assume that his venom and vulgarity reflects the character of the campaign. That or hes the aggressive counterpart to the passive Huckabee.
Rudy down, Huckabee to go.
I heard the interview, I thought that was uncalled for. Didn’t this guy also say he’d like to hit Romney? My feeling about Huckabee is that he’s the type who will be mean while trying to appear as Mr Nice Guy. I.E., his remark about Mormons and the way he announced he won’t be airing his attack ad, nevertheless, he’ll show it to the media.
However, I will take the republican candidate over any of the dems running for president, especially clinton.
The best way to your goal is to support Fred; get out his positive message, support him financially, and be his supporter. The Huckster should do the rest of it himself.
Least that’s what I was going to post, but I’m not now, but I’m just showing you what I would have posted so you can know I would have done it, had I not had a change of mind. It might appear on your screen, but only once or twice, as the message gets out...

Rudy isn’t down just yet. He chose not to do Iowa
If you are judged by your company, hiring scum like Rollins is a bad sign. Ed Rollins made himself infamous for bragging that he had won the NJ gubernatorial election for Christine Todd Whitman by paying black preachers "walking around money" to get them to keep their congregations at home. He later retracted the claim.
“Rudy isnt down just yet. He chose not to do Iowa”
When in history has someone lost all the way to Florida, only to win from there-on?
A better strategy is to push your candidate UP instead of pulling another republican DOWN. Otherwise you just help the demorats.
Huckabee = Elmer Gantry, played by Burt Lancaster.
What about New Hampshire? I don’t know your point, but when in history has a black man won Iowa? Or a woman run for President?
Sounds liike Rollins is back on the sauce again...
Huckabee reminds me of a cross between Gomer Pyle and Jimmy Swaggert, although he really wanted to be the “Cool” musician cousin, Jerry Lee Lewis (but couldn’t because [a] he wasn’t that talented; and, [b] he was fat).
However you can’t deny Huck connects to people. He is an excellent debator. I am not crazy about his record on illegals and taxes, but he could do very well against the demorat nominee in debates.
I also love his fair tax thingy, except no way in hell will the demorat congress will pass such a bill. It is just a gimmick to attract votes.
not to mention Dick Morris probably behind the scenes for him
Huck reminds me of a cross between Gomer Pyle and Elmer Gantry because you assumed a certain innocence and likability from his glibness but underneath is the crafty scheming of a snake oil salesman. Let’s be honest—with so many liabilities of his positions—what has he done right? He criticizes Bush’s foreign policies but the only experience he has had is keeping Arkansas from being invaded by Missouri? The fair tax is a bad idea and would never pass. He has a micro-managing Baptist do-gooder, socialist philosophy of helping others that could interface perfectly with Hillary’s Methodist vision of how society should run. Between pardons, tax hikes, and discount tuitions to illegals there is not much in the way of experience, past performance, policy, or promises to recommend him.
Exactly! And which is why he is at the botoom of my list of republicans, behind even Paul. But he is still a few shades better than the demorat crowd.
