He isn't any kind of conservative. He is a east coast liberal Republican, which on a normal day can be rather difficult to discern from a moderate Democrat.

We'll give what we can and directly to his campaign, if for no other reason than to tick off the folk here who consider themselves the only REAL conservatives. He's 100% right on the most important issue of our time and he's proven his leadership ability - not only in the aftermath of 9/11 but also in his demonstrated ability to reduce crime in the Big Apple, despite all the whining of the lefties.
The Rudy bashers have proved once again that they come from the fringe group that is one of the nastiest in the Republican Party -- no wonder they have driven people away from being activists. Rudy must be a real threat to win or they wouldn't bother bashing so much. They did exactly the same thing to then Gov Bush in 2000 and he won. Same tactics except I was on dial up then and not able to research as fast.
Oh, we don't consider ourselves the only REAL conservatives.
However, someone who is pro-choice, pro-gun-control and pro-amnesty has a hard time donning the REAL CONSERVATIVE label. Or the conservative one at that.

The Party is devoid of character and integrity. It's akin to a fan section in a stadium. As long as the G.O.P. can taunt the opposition with a victory that is all that seems to matter. Makes no difference if both teams are wearing almost identical uniforms and running like plays.
I'd rather win and have some of our agenda realized, rather than lose and have none of it realized. And lets get back to work on improving the brand name - conservatives utterly failed at marketing their ideas.
