February 1, 2007:
Texas Republican contributors are being solicited to spend $30,000 for dinner with former New York City Mayor Rudolph W. Giuliani at the Houstonian Hotel in Houston Feb. 1 to finance his presidential exploratory committee. The private dinner will follow a 6:30 to 8 p.m. cocktail reception, costing $2,100 a person and $4,200 for couples.
The best-known host of Giulianis Houston event is billionaire oilman T. Boone Pickens Jr., chairman of the private equity firm BP Capital Management. Also on Giulianis Texas fund-raising team are Tom Hicks, whose company owns the Texas Rangers baseball team; oil industry executive Jim Lee; and lawyer Patrick C. Oxford.
Rudy Giuliani: The Knight and The Queen 11/28/2001
According to The London Times, New York City Mayor Rudolph Giuliani gives kisses before he leaves every morning, but to neither his estranged wife, nor his girlfriend. Instead, says The Times, Sir Rudy gives a peck on the cheek to the two homosexual men hes living with. We always get a little kiss, its cute, says wealthy car dealer Howard Koeppel, with whom Giuliani has been sharing an apartment since June. When Giuliani was recently knighted, Koeppel tells The Times that he told Sir Rudy to call him Queen Howard. Koeppel (63) and his homosexual lover Mark Hsiao (41) have been comforting Giuliani, and trying to make him laugh, in the aftermath of the September 11 attacks. On the way to a recent fundraising dinner for the pro-homosexual state lobby group, The Empire State Pride Agenda (ESPA), Koeppel ribbed Giuliani by saying that if the ESPA was able to raise $100,000 donation for the homosexual victims of the September 11 attacks, Giuliani should agree to appear on Showtimes controversial Queer as Folk dressed in drag. Surprisingly, Giuliani agreed. Marty Algaze of Gay Mens Health Crisis once summed up Queer as Folk a show that touts graphic sexual activity as one of its biggest draws as one that would shock a lot of people. Showtimes Queer as Folk was inspired by the original series in Britain, which featured a storyline in which a 29-year-old man has a sexual relationship with a 15-year-old boy. The propensity to shock people is not new to Giuliani, who likes to dress in womens clothes as a stage act, and even did so once at a Pride Agenda fund-raiser. According to the Times, Giuliani has attended every gay pride parade in New York during his eight years as mayor. In 1992, during his first run for mayor, Giuliani took part in a homosexual pride parade that included a contingent of pedophile activists marching behind a banner for NAMBLA (North American Man/Boy Love Association). Did you know that Rudy Giuliani has gay friends. That he stayed with tow gay guys while he was kicked out of his home? :-)
LOL
Absolutely, these are the fanatics - the fringe - the *purists* - the unappeasables.
He who laughs last, laughs best!
You got it. And we should call them by what they really are.
And I think Rudy and his supporters have a lot of gay friends.

Rudy does not support Gay Marriage and never has-- there is a difference between gay marriage and civil unions but I would not expect anyone that bashes Rudy as much as you to know the difference! He also doesn't support a path for illegals to get their citizenship. He supports a path for LEGAL immigrants to get their citizenship but then you might not know the difference in that either.
Those are two things you purposely are wrong on your chart with no links! Makes your chart pretty worthless and no matter how many times you post it, it will still be worthless.
Post your sources.
That has to be the funniest post I've read on FR for some time. It's a shame you didn't intend it to be such - irony is lost on the oblivious.
Rudy cannot win the White House without holding the base. No one can. Even Bill Clinton, with his plurality win in 1992, held his base. Bush the Elder did not, and he lost.
As you might tell from my tagline, I support Duncan Hunter. But Romney IMO has a better chance than either Rudy or McVain. Why? Because he does not have your dumbass attitude that the base does not matter.
Well said!!!
You could only find one possible quibble on Spiff's chart.
Telling.
In this election you have to be able to raise serious money very fast and I don't see it out of anyone but Rudy.
He once wore a dress, too! :-)
How do you feel you are doing so far in being the savior of America and preventing abortion nation-wide?
ROFLOL! That's the best one yet -- we have a lot of gay friends. I am sitting here thinking if I personally know anyone gay that I would count as my friend and the answer is no! I probably know a few gay people who enough to say hello but that's it. Sorry to burst your bubble.
What would you do if a gay spoke to you? Go in shock?
The shame is, some otherwise decent Republicans are allowing their hearts, and not their minds, lead them. What has the state of the G.O.P. come to when a Rudolph Giuliani is being touted by so many in that Party? It's disgraceful, nothing less.
I am thinking the same thing -- a 1% is not going to raise serious cash. $1B would not surprise me when my local State Rep raised and spent almost a quarter of a million. Don't ask me on what because his opponent spent $40,000 and won.
