I always found it amazing that we have been able to hold onto that district even though it includes the cesspools of Bridgeport and South Norwalk.

Even with those heavily RAT areas, it still is tough terrain for a New England Democrat. What I find amazing is that Democrat Rosa DeLauro and RINO Chris Shays didn't petition the CT redistricting commission to place Bridgeport in DeLauro's New Haven-based district, since (i) Bridgeport has a lot more in common with New Haven than with the affluent NYC suburbs around Greenwich, and (ii) it would provide utterly safe districts to both incumbents. Of course, Shays is so stupid that he actually moved to Bridgeport like 5-10 years ago, so he would have likely whined that he was "redistricted out" had they removed Bridgeport from the CT-04.

We've got a 3 to 2 advantage in that state, amazingly enough.

Really? I always thought that registered Dems outnumbered registered Republicans by a considerable margin, at least that's the way it was 10 years ago.

Sorry, I meant congressional seats, not voter registration.
