What Does Amercia Want?

Posted on 12/27/2004 7:13:40 PM PST by RalphMouth

The Main-Stream Liberal Media seems to have the right to complain about America. They make liberal use of this right, especially when Conservatives are involved. It seems Conservatives bother them.

Conservatives have been the target of its slander, mockery, hatred and lies. The MSLM takes particular pleasure in criticizing the Convservatives humanitarianism, human rights and religious culture.

It has every right to do so.

Even when it's humanity means pro-choice. Even when it's human rights means weapon bans. Even when it's culture means 'Will and Grace'.

The MSLM replies to our complaints by saying they have nothing against America, just the Conservative 'agenda'. Its seems moral clarity and right actions doesn't register with our fourth estate. This is a fantasy that exists only in the minds of liberal politicians and so-called journalists, but has nothing to do with the reality in America.

Really, it does not make any difference. Conservatives do not depend on the love or grace of Dan Rather; rather we live by our own moral judgments. The time is long past when Conservatives expected its rights respected by the left, yet there is no doubt about it; the MSLM campaign against Conservatives is a conscious and intentional provocation aimed at the American people and our Constitution.

They cannot deny it - but, of course, they will.

This campaign reached unbelievable heights this year. American public opinion influenced by the MSLM has been split to an unacceptable degree at the most important time in American history.

We know very well who the instigators and beneficiaries are. It's not surprising the New York Times attacks Conservatives with such venom. Conservatives so far have generally ignored this filthy campaign of hatred, or only answered it with a restrained truth. But when it starts to harm America, infecting Americans rather than just newspapers or TV shows, it becomes more serious.

We could just say liberalism is disappearing in America and point at the map; what do we care about what they think, write or say about us? There's nothing wrong with that as long as its highly developed hate campaign against Conservatives is kept at bay by the reality that surrounds them.

Nearly the whole press, radio, TV and film industry support this campaign against Conservative America values - a Conservative voting America. By providence, Americans determine American policies, not the MSLM. Conservatives are only concerned with reality. One cannot say this is true of the mainstream media.

Conservatives have no intention of answering the criticisms the MSLM raises against them by digging into personal affairs; it is enough to observe their hatred.

Yes, the American people know differently. We know how to do the moral thing despite an American Media telling us otherwise. We know protecting our children's future means a strong America. We know President Bush is leading us in the right direction.

Americans Spoke plainly, we were not fooled.

Liberalism in America is dead.

What does America want?

Exactly what it got.

Now stop complaining about it.

The moderator deleted post prior to yours also referenced 'the vanity post'.

So, just so everybody is on the same page, yes I recently joined and yes I joined to read posts, make comments about posts and post posts. Which, in my vanity posting mind, is kind of the point of FR.

We kinda think of ourselves as a news reading/analysis forum. There are some guidelines we kinda adhere to on this site, one of which is we try to keep the vanities to a minimum...this is not a chat room, although folks talk to one another.

My dad taught me to stand in the door and let my eyes adjust before stepping into a bar, looks like you might have missed a lesson similar to that and decided to barge right in and order a wine spritzer without noticing everyone else was chasing shots with a beer.

My guess is you heard about this place a signed right up and decided it was your cup of tea *pinkie in air* without reading some of the rules of the forum.

Some guidelines posting guidelines

You may get some heat if you don't understand

While your bar analogy appears turned around, what with the hissy fits and all, you are correct and I appreciate the advice.

You've not seen a hissy fit yet.

Though I, too, am new here and certainly not the FR police, or an expert, I read the forum for 15 months before signing on and have seen what can happen.

I've been here 6 weeks and have posted twice, one a live event, as an alert, and one news piece I alerted the mods to pull as it was a dupe ( got beat by a minute 20 while I was editing ).

Easiest way to get accepted is to post to an existing thread; no matter how good or bad your input is, it will be more readily accepted or shouted down than a vanity post.

Do stand up on your own hind legs, if you have a valid point, and make sure you develop a thick skin.

Put some info on your profile page...though many don't, it helps to let folks know you faster.

Many of these folks have been here for many years and have lot's of institutional knowledge: you can learn alot from them.

It's a great site....I came here from another conservative forum and though I still wander by at my old place, I can't think of a better place on the 'net.

Was busy off in another world, meant to give you something to read, from a poster who signed up today; there have been a rash of new people signing up just to be disruptive.

Raises suspicions.

Here's a real hissy fit. That's gonna leave a mark

Ok, kids. I agree, the rest of the nation does not give a hoot (anything West of NYC's 7th Ave doesn't count) about Washington State Rats stealing the Governor's election. Even our big hero Drudge is yawning (speaking of jumping the shark).
So we are on our own. Orange ribbons in down town Seattle. Plaster the place. Over passes, doors. Where ever!

Get in Lib's faces. Make them sweat. Stop apologizing, damn it. Sit down and be civil disobedient. Get on the news. We must do this truely like the Ukie's did.

That is the only way I can think of getting national attention and some legal action against the F.L's (Hint: one of the letters stands for Liberal)

We will not go away!

I can tell you what THIS American wants:

1) I want Islamic Jihadists to stop attacking us and killing our people.

2) I want the government to protect our borders, and make sure no one comes into this country illegally.

2) I want the government to stop taking and spending so much of our money, and I don't want to have to disclose every intimate detail of my life to them when I hand over whatever they do take. I want not to spend valuable hours filling out their incomprehensible forms, not to pay thousands of dollars to professional form-filler-outers in order to get the job done, and not take up valuable and limited storage space holding on to financial records which have no value to me, simply for the sole purpose of enabling the government to harrass me, snoop through my private financial dealings going back many years and shake me down.

3) I want the government to stop seeing "wealth transfer" as its legitimate and primary function (especially since nothing remotely resembling that power is delegated to the government in the Constitution.)

4) I want the government to stop dictating, influencing or otherwise defining the educational content in my child's school, just as we do not allow them to dictate the content of our newspapers. I want the government to stop driving up the costs of higher education by subsidizing it in increasing amounts every year, thereby encouraging consistent price increases to eoak up the subsidies and justify ever newer ones.

5) I want the government to stop using my money to finance artists whose work I choose not to patronize, and broadcast content that I choose not to listen to.

6) I want the federal government to stop telling me what I can smoke, what I should eat or how much I should exercise, and to stop claiming that since govnernment pays for and/or regulates our health system my personal choices are everybody's business and vice versa.

That's for starters. There's more, but my time is limited right now.
