I think Tom Tancredo would be the best choice for President in 2008. He's a solid conservative on all issues such as taxes, the war on terror, and moral values. Most importantly, he is strong on the issue of immigration and border control, which is what differentiates him from most other potential candidates, many of whom have sided with the liberals on this issue. This issue will help win swing voters and bring new voters out, since polls have shown most Americans believe that better enforcement of immigration laws is needed. Unlike Buchanan, Tancredo doesn't have controversial positions on middle east foreign policy and free trade to weigh him down.
I set up a yahoo group for others who feel the same way, and will have a website when someone who is able to volunteers to make one.

Mission Statement:
We support the possible candidacy of Congressman Tom Tancredo in the 2008 Presidential Election. Tom Tancredo is a solid and principled Conservative. On one issue in particular, illegal immigration, Tom Tancredo has been a strong proponent of those positions held by a majority of Americans, even when that means going against powerful interests in his own party. Our objectives are to:
1. Encourage Representative Tancredo to run for President in 2008.
2. Advocate the possibility of his candidacy, and remind the media to include him in their lists of 'potential presidential candidates'
3. Establish a grass-roots activist network to work for victory if Representative Tancredo decides to run for President
Where can I get info on the PAC? How is Tancredo "playing" people?
he is playing on your fears for his own gain...
I will try to find it. I have seen it referenced in quite a few threads about a month ago....
it may take a while though, ok?
Ah ha!
I found the link...it is suspicious to me that although he isnt connected to it, he still raises money for it...

Take a gander. He is going to end up on the same path Buchanan did. I will say this, he has quite a talent for getting people's attention. But it he wasn't a one hit wonder, he might get somewhere. Unfortunately for the Tancredo fans out there, he is shoehorned into the illegal immigration subject.
There really is not one singular subject that will determine the next Presidential election. Really what determined the last one was security and the WOT and doubts that Kerry would be able to execute it as Bush has.
I dont know what gain he gets out of it. Maybe the respect of Pat Buchanan? maybe?
I think that he is similar to Hillary. He is very polarizing. As Hillary may find out, you won't win with 35%....
does he even care about anything but illegal immigration? Sure he has a voting record but does he EVER talk about anything else?
the answer is no. One hit wonder. He might make it out of Iowa, but he will be the GOP version of Kuchinich.
I see it on FR all the time. The problem is I DONT see it in Ohio.
and no I didnt say immigration was a one hit wonder issue, but I DID say Tancredo was....
Good. I wrote him in last time.
Don't forget 2012.
I would like to see him reelected.
Tancredo is right: Friday, January 7, 2005: Has U.S. threatened to vaporize Mecca?
Actually, they're on the protected list.
He's been out-casted by the party.
Really? Interesting. I have heard that he often went nuts about things in Arizona or wherever he is from, but I don't know a lot about him.
