What
1. Russland hat der NATO mit einer radikalen Änderung seiner militärischen Strategie gedroht. = Russia threatened NATO with a radical change of its military strategy.
Why
Sollte das Verteidigungsbündnis in seiner jetzigen Form bestehen bleiben = should the defense alliance continue to exist in its current form
Details about what
Sergej Iwanow schloss ausserdem einen Präventivschlag Russlands nicht aus = Sergey Ivanov didn't exclude a pre-emtpive strike
BTW, "this is not same source from the Ministry of Defense that required to be not named". This is the Minister of Defense himself.

Well, Russia not overly mind immigrant, it has 6% unemployment rate that fall all time, so more workers not problem, also baby count up 18% in live birth and abortion after 12 weeks all but illegal...how partial birth abortion issue in US? As for border, well do what Isreali do build wall.

"Sergey Ivanov didn't exclude a pre-emtpive strike"
That is NOT what you claimed he said!
You said Ivanov "Threatened to Attack Nato".
Ivanov said "He wold not rule out a pre-emptive attack".
That has been Russian policy since the end of the Cold war and is NOT new!
You are being paranoid about NOTHING.

"in live birth and abortion after 12 weeks all but illegal..."
How many abortions will this stop?
The Liberal Media was claiming this "Would do little to increase the number of births in Russia" because they "Claim" that over 90% of abortions in Russia are done Before 12 weeks.
I disagree with the media, I think it could potentially increase the Russian birth rate by at least 35%.

Now it's your turn to give me a quote of a Russian president or defense minister not excluding a preemptive strike if the current situation (for the time of the quote) didn't change.
I know none. The only case we know for sure this happened was made public 25 years LATER !!! (Turkey 1962)

The Russian military has the US as a "Potential" military opponent - but that is mainly because we were enemiess for 40+ years.
In addition to the US, the Russian military views the following countries as "Potential" military opponents:
Germany
China
Britain
Japan
Of these countries, the only one that Russia actively trains to fight is China.

You Russians better start reproducing soon or Siberia will become Chinese by default.
Yes, everyone is locking and loading. The balloon is just about to go up. Let us hope the European peoples and that includes us sticks together on this one. If we don't, we are doomed.

Russian birth rate up 18% over last 4 years and abortion illegal (well almost totally) after 12 weeks...so don't worry, it 2000km of mountian and forest for the chinese reach oil on Siberian plain.
To: Pubbie
Well beside fact that without law abortion was at 1/4th level of Soviet times, have you ever seen Russian prisons? If I was doctor I sure would not risk having hard labor for 10 years for performing abortion...these not spa clinics of US.

Do they think banning abortion after the 12th week will increase the birth rate?
The liberal Western media says "No" because they don't want Russia to prove that restricting abortion might solve Western Europe's declining population.
I however think it could increase the Russian birth rate up from 1.3 million to 1.75 million births - at a minimum.
What do people in Russia think it will do to the birthrate?

The liberal Western media says "No" because they don't want Russia to prove that restricting abortion might solve Western Europe's declining population.
They Media says that it won't increase the birth rate because "90% of abortions in Russia are done before the 12th week of pregnancy". I believe that statement is false, because I believe I read that only 60% of abortions in Russia are performed before the 12th week of prgnancy.
I think this new restrictions on abortion could increase the Russian birth rate up from 1.3 million to 1.75 million births - at a minimum.
What do people in Russia think it will do to the birthrate?

You are misinformed. Islamists in Chechnya were supported by the Saudies and some other Arab countries. Shiites were not involved there. The Iranians are most definitely involved. Among other things, they are the primary conduit for all that other aid.

This will not be allowed to stand. What I wrote was that a rare event had occured, namely, that I and Berezovsky were on the same side. I also was realistic and wrote "for now." So what? Does this make me some Chechen terrorist? Give me a break....

Stop twisting reality. In reality, Putin negotiated a back stabbing move on the parts of Germany and France. He no doubt used France's and Germany's flagrant violations of UN Sanctions against Ba'athist Iraq as well as Germany's large investment exposure in Russia as levers in order to help engineer the conspiracy (a real one, not imaginary...;). Other Western nations are in accord with the US to varying degrees. Clearly, the emerging geopolitical situation is not as simple as "East-West." It is more like, the hard core of Magna Cartian English speaking nations along with various other allies who would stand to lose much in a world dominated by Mordor... oops, I meant to write, the Trans-Eurasian Axis. Some of our other allies in this emerging situation include Japan, Taiwan, Israel, and, perhaps, much chagrin to Moscow, India. I will admit clearly here that there are *many* here in the New Alliance who do not get it and who cling to the 1990s. They still trade with the PRC and Pakistan. Some of them are into the 3rd way, and still promote antiquated Fabian Socialist programs. They are out of touch. A new world emerges. We either deal with it or stand in denial, non understanding what is happening. We all can chose.
