Well beside fact that without law abortion was at 1/4th level of Soviet times, have you ever seen Russian prisons? If I was doctor I sure would not risk having hard labor for 10 years for performing abortion...these not spa clinics of US.

Do they think banning abortion after the 12th week will increase the birth rate?

The liberal Western media says "No" because they don't want Russia to prove that restricting abortion might solve Western Europe's declining population.

I however think it could increase the Russian birth rate up from 1.3 million to 1.75 million births - at a minimum.

What do people in Russia think it will do to the birthrate?
