DENVER (AP) -- "Hey, beerman!" Your name isn't protected. "Bob the Beerman" has lost his battle against Coors.
Bob Donchez, known as "Bob the Beerman," was the first licensed vendor at Coors Field in Denver. He trademarked his character in 1993.
He sued Coors about four years ago over the brewer's "Beerman" $100 million ad campaign. But a federal judge in Denver has ruled the term beerman is generic and doesn't infringe on the rights of Bob the Beerman. Attorneys for the Beerman say they'll likely file an appeal.

Coors isn't beer. It is a noxious beer like substance. When it goes on sale it costs less than bottled water. It makes me wonder how you go about devaluing water. But somehow, Coors has managed it.

Sorry BOB.
"Wally the Beerman" has been hawking beer for the Minnesota twins for something like 30 years.
I think he's had his own bobblehead doll, and I know hw gives out autographed "baseball cards" at the games.
(I've got one)

We had a "Bill the Beerman" in the 70's at the Kingdome in Seattle. Made commercials for Raineer beer. He used to lead the "Wave".

Is this the guy you can call on his cellphone and he'll bring you beer? The guy with beer bottles glued to his forehead? If so, he seemed to be a cool guy during my one and only Coors Field experience...
