My Dragon Fly and Me
If I could be a Dragon Fly and wing my way through the sky I would never be shy just me and my Dragon Fly!
By moonlight we ride the wind chase the comets tail for fun by day we would hide from the sun our fragile wings would come undone On darkest nights we would use fireflies as our guides we would dip and we would glide through the heavens open wide and scatter diamonds in the night sky my Dragon Fly and I... And we would wing past our lovers silent in the night... to kiss their face in our flight much to their surprise and delight my Dragon Fly and me in sight... Such a view do we share away up here in the air of breezes soft through our hair my Dragon Fly and me a pair... bentfeather©

Sunday Morning
Like a ritual
Every Sunday morning,
Sweeping the kitchen floor
With an old-fashioned broom.
While the rest of the family
Ran around in a frenzy getting dressed
For Sunday School and church.
Sweeping the kitchen floor with such concentration,
In a world of his own.
Holding the broom so tightly
As if someone might try to take it away from him.
Wonder what he was thinking about
While he was sweeping the kitchen floor.
Was he trying to get in the mood for church
Was he thinking about his past war experiences
Was he thinking about his family,
Father, mother, wife, and daughters
Was he thinking about his job
Was he worried about something we knew nothing about
Was he only concentrating on getting the floor clean
I will always wonder

Good songs.
Men - what are they good for?
Oooh oooh, I know, I know, can I answer?
LOL.
Folsom Prison - Johnny Cash is kinda like Dean Martin, always good to listen too. Good voices.
The poem....
I like how she narrowed it down to just concentrating on cleaning the floor.

HI Sam, snippy and everyone!!
What a bsuy day I have had!!
Up at 6:00am, off to church for 8:00am service, then breakfast after the service, and then off to the Renaissance Fair for the day!
Wow, I was beat when I got home. I went to bed for a quick nap and slept for hours.
This fair was huge. Thousands of people, stores, shops, exhibits, joustings, etc.
Renaissance is one of my most favourite eras in history.
:-) Sorry I have not been around today, but have to get this stuff out of my system now.
I bought some beautiful jewelry!! Oh boy, that's where my money goes.

"I never understood the structure of haikus til
recently. I've learned about that right here."
I learned about haiku in the 5-7-5 form in English
class, but I never put any effort into trying it out
till recently. I also went looking for rules about
haiku & found various forms like 10-7, 2-3-2, there's
a few different ways to write a haiku. I wrote down
what I found in case I wanted to try any of them. I
generally just make sure I have the right amount of syllables.
