My Dragon Fly and Me
If I could be a Dragon Fly and wing my way through the sky I would never be shy just me and my Dragon Fly!
By moonlight we ride the wind chase the comets tail for fun by day we would hide from the sun our fragile wings would come undone On darkest nights we would use fireflies as our guides we would dip and we would glide through the heavens open wide and scatter diamonds in the night sky my Dragon Fly and I... And we would wing past our lovers silent in the night... to kiss their face in our flight much to their surprise and delight my Dragon Fly and me in sight... Such a view do we share away up here in the air of breezes soft through our hair my Dragon Fly and me a pair... bentfeather©

Good night all who may visit this poetry thread.
Rest well, we'll be back tomorrow with more poetry.
To: Darkchylde
I'm into vampires as well, but my mother doesn't allow much indulgence. I guess I'm lucky that my Mom enjoyed horror stories and movies so she indulged me. We'd sit in the dark and watch Chiller Theatre (hosted by Boris Karloff) and any other spooky stuff that was on tv. Every Sat. afternoon, the local movie theater showed horror flicks and I was always right up front. LOL!
And vampires were always my favorites. I have several vampire movies on video and always keep my eyes out for something new. The big problem is that most of the new flicks aren't worth a flip. *sigh*
So nowadays, I eagerly await Ann Rice's new novels in her vampire series. I think I have them all, unless she's come out with another one I haven't heard about yet.
Radu is my all-time favorite vampire. (that's why I chose the name for my screen name, even though it's masculine). He makes Dracula look like a wuss. A baaaaaaad dude.

I never understood the structure of haikus til recently. I've learned about that right here.
I can sense your pulse beneath your warm skin.
Your blood is so inviting...
I like this one. It sounds like something Radu would say.
Hmmmmm, maybe I should pull the movies out and watch them again. It's been a while. Maybe (that's a small "maybe". LOL) I'll get inspired to write a little something.

I am the dark of night
the stillness of the fields..... Brrrrr! This was a great time to read this. The fog is really thick outside and I can see it through the window right now. Adds the perfect ambience. LOL!
And yes, I like, I like!

Once a shadow... I've always enjoyed your works, ms. feather, and ya know what's really cool? Now that I've gotten to hear you read your poetry while you were visiting, I can "hear" you read the ones you post. :-)
