~The Dragon Flies Lair II~

My Dragon Fly and Me

If I could be a Dragon Fly and wing my way through the sky I would never be shy just me and my Dragon Fly!

By moonlight we ride the wind chase the comets tail for fun by day we would hide from the sun our fragile wings would come undone

On darkest nights we would use fireflies as our guides we would dip and we would glide through the heavens open wide and scatter diamonds in the night sky my Dragon Fly and I...

And we would wing past our lovers silent in the night... to kiss their face in our flight much to their surprise and delight my Dragon Fly and me in sight...

Such a view do we share away up here in the air of breezes soft through our hair my Dragon Fly and me a pair...

'Morning snippy. Yep, it must be time to get to bed.....you're up. LOL!! I got knocked off by our ISP for several minutes and just got back on. Some things never change. hehe!

Like that beast of a car, do ya? That's the one we show. There are a couple of others that aren't quite good enough to pass judging so we take those to cruise-ins if we take them anywhere. The Lincoln really was a Miss Daisy car in its heyday. LOL! It was, fortunately, garage-kept all along and is all original.

Ok, since you asked, here's a shot of a few glass pieces I designed and made. The one in the center is the one included in an art gallery tour right now. It's the size of a turkey platter....that's what I used to draw the oval. Hey, what can I say? It works. hehehe!!!

My eyeballs are hanging out of my poor lil head. Off to the bat cave. See ya later. Good night. *Hugz*

Yikes Trike!

Ok. We had a freeze warning last night so I think it should be about 34 degrees out this morning.

I'm gonna have to go step outside and cool off. ;)

Raccoon Song

Raccoon tapping on the windowpane
Fuzzy beggar, growing tame
Evenings longer, midnights colder
My love and I
Just a little bit older

Quarter moon above the trees
Wind blows softly, rustling leaves
Would you love me if I lost my hair?
No, my dear
And don't you dare

Dog curling by the potbelly stove
Whiskers peek from the old mouse hole
Grandma's quilt has a brand new patch
No more cookies
Or I'll get fat

Rocking chair got a squeak again
Sniff the air, smells like rain
Horned owl hoots from out the wood
I believe
All life is good

Before I die I want to know
All the winds and why they blow
All the forests, every stream
Why you smile
When you dream

Joe Cottonwood

That car.. I could just imagine wearing a 50's leather jacket and such while driving that car..
Kinda a paradigm shift in the image thing there..

Thanks.
People don't know that there really are blue roses.
I had one once.
Long ago when I was young (As opposed to merely looking it.)

A blue rose is a rare thing
A vision of beauty and timeless things
Sometimes seems like a wisp of dream
But I know it as an actual thing
I saw one once when I was young
And the stars were bright in the evening sky
Long ago when the world was new
Now I am older and memories I have
Of a vision of beauty
And a thing that I'd had
A blue rose it was, such a timeless thing
Sometimes it seems like a wisp of a dream
From when I was young.

Yeah, those games were rather.. interesting.
The best was teh Sega CD version of Bram Stoker's dracula.
Lucy flying around the screen saying "Come to me, Harker my love. I shall taste your flesh!" brought no end of laughter every time we got to that level.
We'd be too busy laughing that by the time we'd recovered, she'd eaten us.

Hi Sam!!

Love "Raccoon Song" poem!!

My kids had a pet raccoon. They are so loveable, and funny. They can eat as much as a large dog. Our raccoon ate dog food.
