My Dragon Fly and Me
If I could be a Dragon Fly and wing my way through the sky I would never be shy just me and my Dragon Fly!
By moonlight we ride the wind chase the comets tail for fun by day we would hide from the sun our fragile wings would come undone On darkest nights we would use fireflies as our guides we would dip and we would glide through the heavens open wide and scatter diamonds in the night sky my Dragon Fly and I... And we would wing past our lovers silent in the night... to kiss their face in our flight much to their surprise and delight my Dragon Fly and me in sight... Such a view do we share away up here in the air of breezes soft through our hair my Dragon Fly and me a pair... bentfeather©

Now you're getting "deep".LOL. Hey, I think my romantic poetry was "deep".
I know what you mean though, I try not to get deep to often, too depressing.
Very nice poem
Thank you for the compliment.

When we woman
walk alone
it takes guts
to stroll solo
I have walked for
many years
with no warm hand
to hold nor no one
to dry my tears...
to find an inner strength
is sometimes so very hard
cold beds on winter's night
is almost absurd
there are no easy asnwers
but many roads to walk
and thousands of lonely strangers
willing to sit and talk
about their dreams gone astray
so common bonds unite
strangers in the night become
warm friends in broad day light

To: SAMWolf
I can't load them but I think it's my end not theirs.
This server is getting ready to dump me again. :-(
I will have to leave for a bit but I'll be back.
To: bentfeather
There seems to be a problem with the site. It's there and then gone again. :-(

I wander through darkened corridors
Through halls of evernight
Walking as a whisper
Drifting past the darken'd light
With loneliness as my guide
I'm betrayed by the sunlight
A brief eternity to hear her voice
Bar your windows tight
I'd sell my soul to see her face
In my halls of evernight.

Through halls of evernight Oooooooooo!! I liiiiiiike!! I can certainly identify with it. :-)
I wish I had some "poet" in me so I could add some goodies to this thread. That's ok! I can still read and enjoy!! Thanks for turning me on to this haunting beauty. :-)

I sometimes (rarely) make two versions of one haiku.
I have an example you may enjoy. The first version
came to mind 'cause my brother used to play a game
called "Castlevania" in which you fight Dracula. There
is one particular line in the game that is quite
memorable, one of Dracula's wives attempts to attack
you while saying "Come to me , Harker, my love
& I shall taste your flesh." Version two was created to
be less... I'll say disturbing for lack of a better word.
(version 1)
You make me hungry.
I think I'll have dessert now,
let me taste your flesh.
(version 2)
You make me want you.
I've lost my self control now,
let me taste your lips.
