In our church in the small town we used to live in, we took meals to families for all kinds of things .... deaths in the family, someone having surgery, the birth of a new baby .... during flu season, whoever didn't have the flu would cook meals for the family of those currently afflicted (and homemade soup for the sick one) ..... just all kinds of occasions

You forgot guys who can't cook.......:-)

Well, they could still take Cokes or paper plates and cups ... or a package of rolls .... or something like that ..... :-)

We didn't let them take lima beans, though.

And they certainly didn't get left out even if they couldn't reciprocate.

There's a contest at our local sports radio station called "Silly Underdog Picks." You pick two underdogs in college games and they must win outright. You get the points equal to the betting line that they were underdogs.

My first pick was Oregon over Michigan and I just garnered 7 or 8 points for that one. My second pick was Boise State over Oregon State and that game is tonight. I'm confident the Beavers will lose tonight.
