Gentlemen, you have been fooled. It is a picture of a kitten with Ann Coulter's latest book. I knew the name Ann Coulter would spark attention. Fooled You. HA - HA.

Since I have your attention this Monday morning (about 4:45 AM local time as a type this), WAKE UP !!!! The kitten wants you to read to it. The kitty picture this week is courtesy of sweetliberty.

Sometimes when a cat won't use the litter box, it is his/her way of letting you know he/she is having bladder problems, maybe pain when urinating.
A trip to the vet for a check of urine (for blood,) antibiotics if necessary, and a diet change will usually clear up the problem.

There are special cat foods for cats who have urinary problems. The vet can recommend the proper food.
Having several bowls of water setting around the house encourages the cat to drink.

Don't need coffee to wake me up, my cats do that for me. They jump off a certain part of my lower body. "Daddy we're hungry! Feed us!" Bounce!.

I appreciate the advice but he's healthy as a horse, according to my vet who says complaints about inappropriate urination are the number one thing he hears about cats. I've even resorted to kitty psych books and bought the expensive stuff that takes out the odors. He uses the box almost all of the time. He's an only cat so it's not a territory problem and he has a room with privacy so it's not that either. I think he's just spiteful and maybe a little dense. But gorgeous to look at and fairly sweet in nature. In the meantime, I'll get out the oven mitts and hold him down for nail clippings.

She's reading Carl Limbacher's new book and we just ordered Hell to Pay secondhand.I told her this was a good laugh because I find HRC scary(and loathsome)!

I was being funny about the wake-up thing. But if I could say what I think about THEM, I'd be banned from FR for life and it would be a contest as to which law enforcement agency could get here first.

Like you, I find them both scary and loathsome, especially loathsome.

Hello again w over w...

Your cat looks a lot like my Winnie. As a matter of fact, my brother saw the pic you had a couple of weeks ago with him/her (?) hanging on the handrail and asked me where I took that picture. Even this picture reminds me of the way she reacts when I squirt her with the "discipline gun." My other two run in fear but she will stand on her hind legs and bat at it.

She is the smartest cat I've ever had. She is the only cat I've ever had that learned tricks. She plays fetch with toy mice, bringing them back every time and dropping them on my feet. When I stop, she will sit for several minutes pawing at my legs, mewing at me, wanting me to throw it again. She also is amazingly quick and agile. I am 6'3" and I can hold a toy mouse in front of my face and she will jump from the floor to take it out of my hand. I've heard that cheetahs can run so fast because they have a long spine that acts as a spring. This is the way she is built so I'm guessing the same effect applies.

Just wondering if yours shows any extraordinary talents (other than handrail gymnastics - LOL) since they are so similar in appearance.

Pretty kitty!I've just been watching one of our kitties yowl at the baby raccoons in the atrium.

My son in law moved the hummingbird feeders out of reach for them as we figured out why our feeders were dry every morning.

The babies are very persistent in trying to figure out how to overcome this problem!

haha! I used to have a very friendly racoon that would venture onto my porch nearly every night. Once I came walking through the living room and caught my calico touching noses with it through the screen door*. That really freaked me out. Since then I have watched a cat owned by friend of mine touch noses with a groundhog. That's why I love cats - you never know how they'll handle a new situation.

*Yet my three still fight with each other...go figure!

baby raccoons

I've been feeding three sets of baby raccoon twins all summer. I started feeding them high protein dog food, then switched to kitten food. They are so cute.

We have feeders on the fence we fill with sunflower seeds and corn for the squirrels in order to keep them away from the bird feeders(ha ha).

That's what attracts the raccoons,then they discovered the hummingbird feeders!

We curse them when they get in the trash(rare now that we keep the cans away from the fence)but otherwise they provide comic entertainment.

The babies are adorable!You must be busy!
