That's it. I don't give a flying fig if Texas comes back(its 28-14 right now.) Fire the fickle folding fraud that is Mack Brown.
Once again, he's couldn't prepare his team for the big game. Once again outcoached. Once again overhyped. Once again his team can't run. Once again his defense is shredded. Once again he ignored an offseason opportunity to replace his coaches who have used smoke and mirrors and early high rankings to fool the media into thinking his team would finally be better than what they are. Same ol' sham.
Arkansas first truly exposed the fraud that is Mack Brown back in the Cotton Bowl several years ago. So did Mack learn and prepare his team this time? Nope, instead he frivolously whined and moaned last week about the UA coach 'disrespecting' UT by celebrating after the upset Cotton Bowl win. It is MACK who has disrespected Texas. Grow up, Mack, quit making excuses.
Arkansas has less talent, yet they are whipping UT with a balanced attack. UT's drives depend heavily on penalties, not a balanced offense with a solid running game. If they can't control Arkansas, they have no chance against the best in college football.
Thanks for the good recruiting Mack, you did a good job of bring UT back. But you can't win the big one, and worst of all, you don't mentally prepare your teams. Remember the Big 12 Champ game in Dallas against Colorado, where a stupid jump offsides by Texas on a punt kept alive a CO drive, and cost UT a win and a guaranteed place in the mythical national championship game? Remember a year later, again in Dallas and eeriely similar, UT jumped offsides on an obvious OU 4th down attempt to draw them offsides(AFTER A TIMEOUT! Isn't that what you specifically warn your team not to do?). That stupid mistake(at the end of the 2nd quarter) allowed a touchdown which changed the game momentum and once again saw the Longhorns NC title shot flushed down the toilet. Remember how everyone was talking about a possible Texas Tech upset, yet wide-eyed Mack sure enough fell into the trap and lost, then claimed he had no clue that it might happened. Get behind, and the team panics and folds. It is the coaches' job to prepare their team, and in most big games, UT has failed to be prepared.
Oh, they'll let him play out the season, but no matter what the final score, this game is an embarrassment and confirmation that Mack cannot take this team any further. There will be no national championship this year. Time to begin planning for a quiet but graceful exit.

Mack Brown is the one smiling between Bob Stoops and Barry Switzer.

Declining the motion penalty and giving Arkansas another chance, which they turned into a 45 yard pass play easily qualifies Brown as Bonehead Coach of the Year.

OU's favorite useful idiot...

Benching Major Applewhite was another one of Mack Brown's legendary "coaching" masterpieces.

Reminds me of when Miami converted a 4th and 45 in one of the worst of the Longhorn's too numerous Cotton Bowl debacles. In fact that game led to the downfall of another UT coach...

Exciting game, 35-21 Arkansas in the 4th quarter. Texas may not be out of it yet, but they are playing horrible too much of the time.

Another Carl Reese signature defensive performance. How many points has OU, Colorado, Texas Tech, Top 25 teams averaged against the UT defense during his tenure? I bet it is over 30 points per game. Mack refused to fire him, so now both must go.

It's heading towards a typical Mack Brown loss. Horrendous preparation. Horrendous coaching. Horrendous 2nd half adjustments. Mack Brown is a fraud and should resign or be fired.

Right now, neither team can stop the other from scoring a touchdown. It's looking like the final score will be Arkansas 70, Texas 63.

38 points given up at home(and counting) to an unranked team, about to blow one of the nation's longest current home winning streak to a rival with no life that lives to beat Texas. Yet Mack and Carl once again caught off guard. Ease Mack out at the end of the year, fire Carl IMMEDIATELY.

Carolina fans (I'm not one) discovered a long time ago that Brown was good at bringing in talent, but lousy at coaching in a game. He never could win a big game and he continually looked lost in trying to beat Florida State.

You think Texas would have checked his resume before they hired Brown. Why hasn't he ever won a conference championship? Why didn't he ever beat Florida State? Why did he have such a horrendous record against ranked teams?

Mack must be a Republican, he's a nice guy who excels at squandering great opportunities against an inferior opponent.
Maybe Mack can get a job endorsing Viagra and his wife run for John Edward's seat...

Arkansas RUSHED for 270 yards against Carl Reese's "vaunted"</sarc> Texas defense.
To: Diddle E. Squat
Hey, you can't fire him yet. He's gotta lose 3 straight to the Aggies first. Of course if you count Oklahoma, then...
