In order that we might all raise the level of discourse and expand our language abilities, here is the daily post of word for the day. Rules: Everyone must leave a post using the word of the day; in a sentence. The sentence must, in some way, relate to the news of the day. Practice makes perfect.....post on....

the ripe old age of 45 45 is not old, youngster.
Our (young) receptionist at work sometimes comes up with "fun" things to do. The latest one is to collect everybody's baby pictures and then have us all guess who's who. Yesterday she stopped by my office to "remind" me to bring my baby picture in. I peered at her over my narrow reading glasses and said, "I can't. They hadn't invented cameras yet."
It actually stopped her for several seconds.

How's this look? I had a friend write me a program to do this. I type the text into the program, it converts it to colors with html code for me to copy and paste. I can even pick all the colors with up to 10 colors.

Whatever you do, don't go to
this thread! The pictures someone posted are horrible. I wanted to read the story but it was disgusting. The title is Why America Slept. I'm hoping the ad mod gets rid of those things fast.

JAX!!
I wasn't really paying attention until I glanced at the caption - and then had to do a double take. Hubby had picked up the papers and he hadn't even noticed!!!
