In order that we might all raise the level of discourse and expand our language abilities, here is the daily post of word for the day. Rules: Everyone must leave a post using the word of the day; in a sentence. The sentence must, in some way, relate to the news of the day. Practice makes perfect.....post on....

I love Murphy's Oil Soap! Nothing, and I mean nothing else gets used on my wood floors or paneling.
I would really prefer to use my own equipment and supplies, because I have two shop vacs, which really make short work of hard surface floors. Not many of the newer houses here have carpet because it mildews this near the water. But if a customer insists on her owwn stuff, I will take those charges off the bill.

wish i could hire you! i am sure your company would do better work. it is VERY difficult for consuela to find reliable people. she herself does an excellent job, but she can't do every house herself, obviously. she is very amenable to redoing or taking $ off the bill when the work is not done well.

Thank you, Dubya-that's lovely. You don't have to call me darlin, Darlin;
You never even call me by my name.

I will probably charge about the same I was paying the lady who did my house. If she did only the master suite and loft upstairs, stairs, kitchen/breakfast, downstairs bath, living/dining, utility room and downstairs hall, she charged me $100-$110. If she came with a helper and also did the other upstairs bedroom and bath, the downstairs bedroom and the bonus room/study, it was $125-$145, Which isn't bad at all for 3327 square ft. If she cleaned the refrigerator, did laundry or washed dishes, that was usually a few dollars extra, but only five or ten. And I insisted on having my equipment and supplies used.

To: xsmommy
Yes, you are. My lady was changing any beds which were slept in and putting clean towels in the bathrooms, too, but I'll leave that up to the customer.
