In order that we might all raise the level of discourse and expand our language abilities, here is the daily post of word for the day. Rules: Everyone must leave a post using the word of the day; in a sentence. The sentence must, in some way, relate to the news of the day. Practice makes perfect.....post on....
deride \de*ride\, verb:

It is in the nature of tyranny to deride the will of the people as the voice of the mob, and to denounce the cry for freedom as the roar of anarchy.

She has done that successfully for 20 years. Kind of like she's the Road Runner dealing with tons of Wiley Coyotes. They never learn.

I'm crossing my fingers that the butterfly is still alive when I pick up the tent after lunch. I was hoping another might emerge for them today. Our little first graders were so excited. :-)

I agree that it was vile. In a First Communion dress, no less! She has no regard for people's beliefs. Just likes to make a fuss and then accuse everyone else of being narrow-minded. She's just plain gross.

Any predictions for this weekend or do you need more time to unwind? Our Titans are playing the freakazoid Raiders, and this is one of those payback situations.
