In order that we might all raise the level of discourse and expand our language abilities, here is the daily post of word for the day. Rules: Everyone must leave a post using the word of the day; in a sentence. The sentence must, in some way, relate to the news of the day. Practice makes perfect.....post on....
opacity \O*pac"i*ty\, noun:
opacities; noun, plural
opacitly; adverb
1. The quality or state of being opaque.
2. Something opaque.
3. Obscurity; impenetrability.
4. Dullness of mind.
The opacity of the logic of Runaway Dems has truly baffled me, don't they realize they are acting more like children than the adults they purport to be?
--RikaStrom, WFTD Teacher
Etymology: [French opacité, from Old French, from Latin op cit s, from op cus, dark.]
TOPICS: Education; Humor; Poetry; Word For The Day

Hillary's goal to run for president this fall is shrouded in opacity. She is much too cheap to spend any money but will work to scuttle the other candidates then take the prize at the end.

John's plan has no opacity
His strategy,

He served in Vietnam
Echos like a drum.

Ugh, cat hair. Don't get me started on that vile stuff. I have one who keeps trying to curl up on my lap while I type and the hair goes everywhere! Yuck! He's glaring at me from the top of the couch now. I am a dog person who tolerates cats.
To: secret garden
I prefer cats but have always *wanted* to be a dog person. I just can't get past the neediness of dogs. They are like having another child. My cats that i had in TN always took care of themselves except for feeding and the litterbox changing. They weren't constantly at my feet begging for attention like the chihuahua i had.

From yesterday's thread:
Laz got suspended/banned!
I don't know what he posted, but there was a "comment removed by moderator" for one of his posts one of the threads he was visiting yesterday. (I know it was his post because someone replied "LOL" to it.) Apparently, whatever he posted crossed the line with the moderator.
