In order that we might all raise the level of discourse and expand our language abilities, here is the daily post of word for the day. Rules: Everyone must leave a post using the word of the day; in a sentence. The sentence must, in some way, relate to the news of the day. Practice makes perfect.....post on....
opacity \O*pac"i*ty\, noun:
opacities; noun, plural
opacitly; adverb
1. The quality or state of being opaque.
2. Something opaque.
3. Obscurity; impenetrability.
4. Dullness of mind.
The opacity of the logic of Runaway Dems has truly baffled me, don't they realize they are acting more like children than the adults they purport to be?
--RikaStrom, WFTD Teacher
Etymology: [French opacité, from Old French, from Latin op cit s, from op cus, dark.]

Is that subtle way of calling them fudge packers? Yes, and I suppose they all live down at the end of the Hershey Highway?

Here's a link for
Chrysanthemums. You pinch the flowers all the way back. New growth will come out of the area where you pinched.
Sorry I didn't come in today. I was trading. Quite a nice trade. I might be in it (Bonds) tomorrow still. Depends on what the opening is.
It was too hot here to garden today. 112, thank you ever so much. There's another heat alert tomorrow. Hope this heat is over very soon. It is trying my nerves.

If it gets to hot there, you are welcome to visit us in GA. :) The weather is in the 80's lately and 60s-70s at night. Not too bad. I can always have a spare bed ready for friends.

Doing just dandy here. Trading away again. Bond market has been calling my name.
How are you doing? Saw you on a thread today with the Chancellor and the 20-something crowd. Were you being picked up?

Thanks, honeygrl. Got room for the two dogs and a cat and a boy?
We just stay inside the air-conditioned house until this new heat wave passes. I just hope my green, wax and freedom beans don't die. It's only been about 48 hours since I planted them, and they haven't popped through the soil yet, but I don't dare plant anything else while this awful heat is here.
Your weather sounds great. I'd be out there digging holes for fun!

Was someone picking me up? If so I was too dense to figure it out.

"Beware of going long on treasuries"I shorted. Made a nice profit today. Just looked at the Commitment of Traders report, it shows a 100 percent buy signal as of last Friday. I surely didn't see the buy. Maybe they're trying to get the little guys out of the market yet again.
I saw the flirtation from the young 'un to you.

If the dogs are house trained and good with little ones and the boy can sleep with you in a queen sized bed, then sure! :-p
