In order that we might all raise the level of discourse and expand our language abilities, here is the daily post of “word for the day”. Rules: Everyone must leave a post using the “word of the day”; in a sentence. The sentence must, in some way, relate to the news of the day. Practice makes perfect.....post on....

opacity \O*pac"i*ty\, noun:
opacities; noun, plural
opacitly; adverb

1. The quality or state of being opaque.
2. Something opaque.
3. Obscurity; impenetrability.
4. Dullness of mind.

The opacity of the logic of Runaway Dems has truly baffled me, don't they realize they are acting more like children than the adults they purport to be?
--RikaStrom, WFTD Teacher

Etymology: [French opacité, from Old French, from Latin op cit s, from op cus, dark.]

You know what's frightening about that opacity "violations" notice in the site you linked? If you have received a notice of violation for opacity from a regulatory agency, it is a serious matter. Fines can reach $27,500 a day, for each day of violation. The number of days of violation does not necessarily mean the number of days a regulatory observer was at your facility.

Based upon our experience, we advise you to complete the following items ASAP.
Contact ETA and provide us with a copy of agency field forms and other supporting documentation
Contact an attorney for legal support
Correct the problem if possible
Make observations in a valid manner that will document your compliance
Contact the agency and advise them of your new compliance status

If you want to pay a really big fine, take your time and think about what you are going to do. Since a violation has been noted, the agency may elect to use "other credible evidence" to show that each additional day of operation constitutes a new violation.

If you are worried about a notice of violation, call Tom Rose at xxx-yyy-zzzz

Here we have an unnamed, "federal" official artificially MAKING up "evidence" about how long a violation occurs, when it started, when it "ended", what was the cause, the resoluiton ... all without laws or due process.

Just a single bureacrat's arbitrary decision.

Yeah - I realllllllly want Hillary back in charge of her EPA again.

yeah Robert - you instantly picked up on how asinine it gets out there. In a better world I'd have a different job - the air permitting world is so screwed up companies throw money at us consultants just to try to give themselves a fair shake. Total waste.

Getting back to that 'better world' - I'd like to be a reporter in it. Had to fill in and cover a high school football game last week. Absolutely the greatest collection of MILF.

The opacity of the security provided by the TSA has now gotten darker by the fact that some a$$hole security person stole my dive camera right out of the bag in the Spokane airport. Let's not forget that Spokane, Washington is a hotbed of muslim terrorism. The veractiy of this group leaves a lot to be desired.

I've got to go take a customer to lunch, and see if the shop found the leak in the power steering line of my car. Since my truck is still hitched to the boat, I am driving hubby's non-stock, rumbling, purring badass barely street legal El Camino. And anytime I drive it, it whispers to me to shift harder and drive faster so it can hear its' tires get rubber in all forward gears but overdrive. I am always afraid it will talk me into a ticket, so I need to get my car back as quickly as possible....later.
