The thread:
CA: Court to wait until Sept. 5 to decide on recall election delay
is locked. Did I do something incorrectly? Excerpted wrongly? I'd like to know, if anyone can provide assistance, pls.

Did I do something incorrectly?Yes. When you post a thread, make sure to click the "Unlock thread" checkbox. You screwed up.

I did that once. Had to use the cross thread utility to free it up. I was terribly embaressed.

Address your question to the Admin Moderator.
Most locked threads I've seen got that way because the article has already been posted by someone else.

I was terribly embaressed. As well you should be. But the people who really strike me as incompetant are those people who post a thread without clicking the "Do not pull thread" button. The thread is then pulled from the forum in about 5 minutes.
Idiots.

Yes. When you post a thread, make sure to click the "Unlock thread" checkbox. You screwed up. That's not a very nice thing to do, Laz. :=)
Alia, Send a Freepmail to Admin Moderator asking for an explanation. There's usually one posted when the thread is locked. Yours was probably just a duplicate of another thread.

That's not a very nice thing to do, Laz. :=)The words "That's not a very nice thing to do" and "Laz" appear in the same sentence often, around here.

Yes. That's a big faux pas. (Pardon me for using French.)
The one I didn't know about till a few days ago was the auto-bump feature. I was going in and manually bumping my threads. I've now got it set on my user preferences.
