Dr. Atkins New Diet Revolution is good.
There are some websites, too, that help. Lysie can help you there. A good start might be Atkins.com. But as MrMulliner says, it's important to read the book.

Yes, that is the book. Read through it, but IMHO most of the beginning is trying to convince us to try the diet. There is a lot of testimonials to the efficacy of the diet, before he actually gets down to brass tacks.
Please realize there are actually FOUR phases to this diet; the Induction phase when you limit carbohydrate intake to 20 grams a day. Then is the On Going Weight Loss phase. During this phase you monitor your ketosis with lypolysis strips. Watch them as you slowly add back about 5 grams of carbs every few days. If they change back from purple to pink and lighter pink drop back on carbs. This is the key to weight loss, keeping those strips purple. Then, when you near your target weight, carefully add back more carbs. This is the Transition phase. The last phase is the Maintenance phase. With it you add back carbs while watching your weight. Stop adding when you start gaining.
But now you are in charge. You CAN allow an occasional sweet treat as long as you account for those carbs sometime within probably the week.

One thing I didn't say but should, the induction phase is, admittedly, unbalanced. You really need to take a vitamin supplement while you are going through this. Dr. Atkins gives advice about this in the book.
My personal advice is that when adding back carbs watch to make sure it is a balance of carbs and not just sweets. Go for veggies and fruit, too.

Jemian, I had no idea this diet was so indepth. No wonder people have success with it.
LBKQ, got your mail and replied. :)

Yes, it is rather thorough and explicit. It's explicit but not limiting. There is a list of acceptable foods in the book as well as recipes and the the carborhydrate contents of many foods. I found the book invaluable in helping me. While the book explains the plan, the plan really is easy to follow. Don't worry about limiting your servings. You won't need to.

To all.......I'm asking for help from someone who knows more about computers than I do (That would be pretty much EVERYONE).
Our computer has the W32 Blaster Worm virus and our Norton Anti virus can't seem to do anything about it.
What I need to know is what do I do to get rid of it? Can I call someone, purchase new anti-virus software? Something else??
I can do practically anything I usually do, but I have to get RID of this pesky thing!

*NE Ohio ping*
See post 67 here (among others!), and the state page for more details on President Bush's Labor Day visit to Richfield...
The President's "speech" (visit, appearance, whatever) is not open to the public, but I expect he will be driving through town, and according to today's P.D. (Sat.), anti-Bush rallies are planned by the A.F.L.C.I.O., Sherrod Brown (who was invited to the President's meetings, but declined to attend those...), the "Fair Taxes for All Coalition" ("an alliance of liberal groups") and last but not least "The Northeast Ohio Anti-War Coalition"...
How about counteracting with "five fearless Freepers (and Oliver!)", plus a few more this time?! ;)
